Monday Night Raw (3/18/2019): Recap & Results

Ringside Intel brings you a recap and results for tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw (3/18/2019) broadcast. Pre-show starts at 7:50 pm EST and the main show at 8 pm EST. Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will make an appearance. Tweet and follow @RingsideIntel on Twitter.

Monday Night Raw: 8 pm EST

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar comes out with Paul Heyman. Heyman starts cutting a promo, listing Lesnar’s accomplishments, and he mentions Drew McIntyre, who comes out. But then, Seth Rollins comes out and batters McIntyre with a steel chair mercilessly. As Rollins turns his sights to Lesnar, Lesnar takes his leave and Rollins paces in the ring angrily and tosses the chair aside before heading to the back.

Tag Team Match: Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley & Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor & Braun Strowman

Strowman plants Rush with a Running Powerslam for the 1-2-3 after Lashley retreats from the ringside area.

Winners: Finn Balor & Braun Strowman

Raw Women’s Champion Ronda RouseyRonda Rousey Lashes Out at WWE Universe! arrives at the show backstage and she is confronted by officials. Rousey has been fined for her actions last week and extra security has also been hired as a result.

Alexa Bliss comes out for A Moment Of Bliss. Her guest this evening is Elias, who reveals that he will be the headlining musical guest for this year’s WrestleMania. As Elias is talking, No Way Jose’s music hits and his conga line comes out dancing, with Otis of Heavy Machinery leading the pack. Bliss chastises Otis for jumping the gun and interrupting, but suddenly Elias is attacked from behind. No Way Jose himself pulls off a costume revealing it was he who attacked Elias.

Singles Match: Elias vs. No Way Jose

Elias dispatches Jose with a Drift Away.

Winner: Elias

Kurt Angle comes out to announce his opponent for WrestleMania. The crowd chants “Thank you Kurt” because ‘Mania will be his last match ever. The McMahon family has even allowed Angle to choose his own opponent. Angle says his opponent is someone who has made his life hell for the last while: Baron Corbin. Then Angle prepares for his match up next against Chad Gable.

Singles Match: Kurt Angle vs. Chad Gable

Before the match starts, Gable sincerely thanks Angle for the opportunity to face him and says that he was inspired by Angle. Gable ends up missing a moonsault and Angle capitalizes, tapping him out with an Ankle Lock.

Winner: Kurt Angle

After the match, Baron Corbin comes out to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Corbin says it will be an honor to destroy the great Kurt Angle in his very last match ever.

Women’s Tag Team Champions the Boss’n’Hug Connection come out and it is revealed that they will face the IIconics tomorrow night on Smackdown. As they’re about to talk about WrestleMania, Natalya comes out with Beth Phoenix. Phoenix talks about how proud she is of Sasha Banks and Bayley for helping the Women’s Tag Team Division come to fruition. She wishes there had been that championship when she wrestled full-time. But she proposes coming out of retirement to team with Natalya, where they would challenge the Boss’n’Hug Connection at WrestleMania. The crowd chants “Yes!”

Tensions start to run high until things boil over and everybody starts brawling in the ring until officials come out and restore order.

Singles Match: Sasha Banks vs. Natalya

Nia Jax comes out and cuts a promo on Beth Phoenix and then Tamina attacks Phoenix, and everyone else, from behind and causes a disqualification.

Singles Match: Ricochet vs. Jinder Mahal (with The Singh Brothers)

Ricochet pulls out the impressive victory, winning with a 630.

Winner: Ricochet

Seth Rollins cuts a promo backstage.

Raw Women’s Championship Match: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Dana Brooke

Rousey wins with a quick armbar.

Winner: Ronda Rousey

After Brooke taps, Rousey doesn’t let go of the armbar and Brooke screams in agony as officials have to pull Rousey off. Then Rousey starts attacking the officials and has to be ultimately pulled away by her husband, Travis Browne, as officials warily band together against her.

Singles Match: Apollo Crews vs. Baron Corbin

Corbin dominates the match but Crews sneaks out with a surprise inside cradle for the victory.

Winner: Apollo Crews

Batista does a candid interview about his upcoming WrestleMania match against Triple H.

Drew McIntyre comes out to the ring to cut a promo on Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins takes exception to some of the things he says and comes out. McIntyre and Rollins brawl as officials rush out to try and pull them apart.

Singles Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins

Rollins is about to score the victory when Brock Lesnar comes out and causes a distraction. McIntyre blindsides Rollins with a Claymore Kick for the win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre
