Daniel Cormier Vs. Brock Lesnar Closer Than Ever, Says Dana White
We appear to be gaining more and more traction on a potential heavyweight fight between Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar.
The reigning UFC heavyweight champion appears to have some “favors” he can use to cash in with UFC president Dana White. And when Cormier comes calling, White intends to listen.
Cormier and Lesnar had a brief staredown last year after “DC” won the title with a victory over Stipe Miocic at UFC 226. Since, Lesnar has returned to the WWE and Cormier has maintained his stranglehold on the division.
Talking with ESPN after UFC 235 this past weekend, White noted that Cormier vs. Lesnar is a bout he wants to make, but has no idea when it could take place at this time.
Dana White says Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar want to fight each other and he owes DC a lot. He’s gonna make it. Doesn’t know when. I think Jon Jones will end up getting Thiago Santos.
