Firing big names is also becoming normal with WWE releases. One can take a look at other talents that have left this year (looking at you, Bray Wyatt, and Braun Strowman) and realize no one is “safe” with their job at the company.

With that said, Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer chats about the last roll call of releases during a recent edition. He notes that Nia Jax was a surprise.

This is because Jax was well protected during her tenure with the company, by Vince McMahon. In fact, VKM was quite “high” on Nia.

Another reason for the “shock” factor is that Jax is Dwayne Johnson’s cousin. Plus, was a huge part of the main roster and women’s division.

In addition, while she was one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, and her partner Shayna would take the fall most times if the duo lost. This was in an effort to protect Nia and make her look strong.

There has been a ton of buzz around why Nia was let go. Some rumors state it was because of her attempt for an extended mental health leave.

Another rumor has been circling that all the superstars let go had not yet taken the COVID-19 vaccine. Nia recently hopped on Instagram to address her release, and the post is above.

Speaking of the WWE women’s division, there’s been a buzz about heat between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. This occurred after a segment that went wrong during the October 22nd edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Becky Lynch Talks Charlotte Flair Rumors

As some are aware, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair apparently got into a confrontation, after their October 22nd SmackDown segment. For those that recall, the promo seemed off, as both women “threw” their titles at each other.

Both superstars went off-script. However, it seems as Flair was the one who initially didn’t follow what she was supposed to do, during the segment.

To boot, rumors have been swirling that Charlotte also got into a fight with Sonya DeVille, who was also a part of the promo. It is being said that Flair has overall backstage heat right now.

The Man = The Hero

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, The Man was asked about what went down with The Queen. Did the two really have a confrontation?

As Lynch puts it, the two “don’t talk” anymore. She adds that at times, the locker room needs a hero.

Becky went on to state that she’s “alright” with being that hero. Lynch finished her answer to the question with, that’s “what” she’ll say on this “matter”.

Becks was short, sweet, and to the point. Take what you will from her response.

Past reports indicate that Lynch was thought to be a hero backstage when she stood up against Flair. The two women are set to faceoff at Survivor Series, this coming November 21st.
