The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards in 2025 is finally here, and we’ve broken down everything you need to know to prepare for the occasion. From how to watch the AMC Music Awards to who’s performing, keep reading to learn more about the event.

For the third year in a row, the ceremony is taking place at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas. The ceremony is the longest-running awards show in country music and will not only feature amazing performances but also give out awards to the biggest names in the genre.

But when are the 2025 AMC Awards? They’re actually taking place tonight, Thursday, May 8, at 8:00 p.m. ET, and will run for about two to three hours.

And for the fourth year in a row, the award ceremony will be available to watch live on Prime Video as well as on Twitch.

Now that you know how to watch the AMC Music Awards, let’s dive into more of the nitty-gritty details, like who’s going to be hosting the award show.

The one-and-only Reba McEntire will be hosting the event this year, and it will be her 8th time doing so since her hosting debut in 1986.

But not only are we excited to see the 16-time ACM Award winner hosting, we’re also ready to see Keith Urban be awarded the ACM Triple Crown Award, marking the first time an artist has received the trophy on stage since Carrie Underwood was honored in 2010.

Along with that amazing celebration, fans will see an exciting 14-minute opening with Songs of the Decades, highlighting 60 years of country music featuring the host, McEntire, Clint Black, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, Sugarland, and many more.

In addition to the amazing opener, fans will see stunning performances from Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Zach Top, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, Blake Shelton, and Alan Jackson. Some other interesting collaborations will make it to the stage as well, featuring Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts, as well as Jelly Roll and Shaboozey.

As far as nominations, Langley leads the ACM Awards this year with eight total nominations, six of which are from her smash hit You Look Like You Love Me with Riley Green.

Along with that, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Morgan Wallen follow Langley with seven each. Chris Stapleton also has six nominations, then Riley Green and Post Malone are tied with five nominations.

The top category, entertainer of the year, includes Johnson, Wilson, Wallen, and Stapleton, along with Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, and Jelly Roll.

Overall, it’s going to be an amazing night full of great performances featuring old and new country.
