The 31-year-old country music singer, Morgan Wallen, has been a popular name lately. But the most recent happened just this weekend when Morgan Wallen walked off SNL stage before the end of the show.

The country singer appeared as the musical guest on the March 29th episode of the late-night comedy sketch series, Saturday Night Live. The episode saw Mikey Madison make her hosting debut weeks after she won the Best Actress award at the 2025 Oscars for her role in Anora.

At the end of the show, Wallen stood next to Madison and wasted no time to leave the party after Madison expressed her thanks to all who made the show possible.

The cast could be found looking confused as he walked off while they celebrated the end of the episode. Shortly after, Wallen posted a photo on his Instagram Stories of his private get with “Get me to God’s country” written over it.

This caused fans to bash the singer, with one writing about Wallen’s consistent petty behavior after “running offstage down the center aisle & right past the camera at SNL curtain call.” The fan also commented on posting about the private jet, calling it “tone-deaf”.

Another fan wrote that Morgan Wallen keeps proving that he “has zero self-control”, and hoping “the tantrum was worth it because you’ll never be on SNL again.”

But while fans are bashing the singer, a source tells TMZ that Wallen didn’t mean anything by it. In fact, Wallen entered and exited the studio the same way he did Saturday night during rehearsal, suggesting that Wallen did what he thought he needed to.

Before Morgan Wallen walked off SNL, he performed a song from his soon-to-be-released album, “I’m the Problem”, as well as “Just in Case” from his upcoming LP.

And this is not the first time Wallen was part of SNL. The country artist last appeared in December 2020, two months after he was disinvited as the planned musical guest because he was caught partying in Alabama without a mask amid the COVID-19 pandemic. During his first show, he even appeared in a sketch that poked fun at the controversy.

Since Morgan Wallen hasn’t commented about the incident, it will be interesting to see if he’s invited back to SNL or if there’s actually a rift between the country music star and the late-night talk show.
