The new year is finally upon us! As hard as it is to believe, it is officially 2025. While millions of Americans are starting work on their New Year’s resolutions, country music stars are speaking out to reveal what they are hoping to achieve in 2025 as the genre becomes ever-more popular.

Blake Shelton And Thomas Rhett Sound Off

When it comes to 2025, the country music star Blake Shelton has some big goals now that he’s no longer a host on The Voice.

“In the new year I’m actually looking forward to getting back out there and touring again,” Shelton, 48, told Daily Mail. “And I guess, at some point – I have no idea when – but at some point in the coming year, I’m gonna put out an album – count on it!”

Shelton’s fellow country music icon Thomas Rhett also has some performing goals for the next 12 months.

“I think a milestone for me next year…I’ve always wanted to be able to headline a baseball stadium, and we’re gonna get to do that for the first time next year, which is very exciting,” said Rhett, 34.

“It’s been something we’ve been working our whole career to get towards and that is going to be probably one of the most memorable moments in my career, so [I’m] looking forward to that,” he continued.

More Country Music Stars Weigh In

Another singer who is opening up about his New Year’s resolution is Teddy Swims, who recently collaborated with Rhett on the song “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Woman.”

“Try to make sure that instead of planning so much, I think I’m in a very good place currently where there’s always people planning on my behalf, so I try now just be as present as possible in moments,” said Swims, 32. “And I just want to keep that present mindset at all times.”

Cody Johnson, who won the CMA Album of the Year back in November, is already looking forward to the shows he has planned for this year.

“We are playing bigger shows, so with the release of Leather: The Deluxe Edition, my goal is to make the setlist a little bit different, to bring a couple of different elements to the stage that I haven’t had the opportunity to do yet,” said Johnson, 37.

As for his personal goals for 2025, Johnson is keeping it simple.

“This is gonna sound really cliche, but go back to my carnivore diet, get in better shape and ride more horses!” he admitted.

More Country Music Stars’ 2025 Goals

Hardy and Dasha are two other country music stars who are opening up about what they hope to accomplish in 2025. While Hardy’s goal is music-related, Dasha’s is all about sports!

“This upcoming year, I would love to learn how to play piano and get really good at it,” said Hardy, 34.

“I wanna play more volleyball!” Dasha, 24, chimed in to add. “I play in this rec league in Nashville, but I’m never home – but I’m home in January and February, so girl’s gonna be in the gym playing volleyball.”

Finally, the singer Ernest, who worked on Post Malone’s country album this year, is firmly focused on his career as 2025 begins.

“I want a song to go number one at Country Radio with my voice on it,” the 32 year-old singer said when asked about his New Year’s resolution.

With 2025 only just kicking off, only time will tell which of these New Year’s resolutions come true. Here’s hoping that each of these country music stars have a great 2025!
