Bobby Fish Done With AEW, Will Ospreay Confirms Departure

Bobby Fish is apparently done with AEW. Also, following what occurred after Dynamite, Will Ospreay is also leaving the company.

Bobby Fish Done With AEW

In NXT, the Undisputed Era ran the show for most off their time there. Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong held all the gold.

Then, WWE decided to completely redo the brand and the group split. Now, all but Strong have joined AEW.

Sean Sapp reports that Fish is not re-signing with the company as he joined in October 2021.

“Fish has been missing from AEW programming in recent weeks, and the reason for that is now clear,” said Sapp. “We’re told that Fish’s contract is coming up, and he will likely be finishing with the company when it does, with the deal not being renewed.”

He last appeared on the August 3 episode of Dynamite when the Undisputed Elite reunited. For the longest time, AEW was building towards a major trios feud.

It would see Undisputed Elite take on Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Lots of hints were dropped, but it appears AEW has gone another direction.

Fish debuted with AEW by unsuccessfully challenging Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship. He had a brief singles run against top talent before working with Cole and O’Reilly again.

Due to injuries sustained by Cole and O’Reilly, Fish has not competed frequently in recent months. He last appeared on Dark back in July and is taking some Indy bookings.

Also, he was vocal on his podcast about not getting booked enough by AEW.

Fish has wrestled around the world and we will see where he lands next. Maybe, with Triple H running things at WWE, he could have another chance there.

Another person is officially done with AEW. Will Ospreay announced on social that is no longer working for the company.

His first major appearance was wining at Forbidden Door against Orange Cassidy. Although, he was not done.

He has history with Kenny Omega and was looking for retribution. During Wednesday’s Dynamite, The United Empire lost to Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks in the trios semifinals.

The show concluded with Omega and The Young Bucks standing tall. Although, after camera sstopped rolling, Ospreay and the rest of his stable took out the three men.

Ospreay would then send a tweet, confirming his departure. For now, he will likely return home.

But, do expect him back probably sooner than later. Omega vs Ospreay is certainly a match AEW wants under their name.
