Roman Reigns would not mind wrestling CM Punk, but believes the former WWE wrestler has lost a step. Also, Molly Holly on why she pitched the idea of being shaved bald at WrestleMania XX.

Roman Reigns Rips Into CM Punk

By far, Roman Reigns is the top dog in WWE. Ever since turning heel, he has been unstoppable and there are few challengers left.

During an interview with Complex, Reigns was asked about CM Punk. While he would not mind a match, he continued how Punk is not on his level.

“He’s older now and I haven’t really seen a full match,” said Reigns. “I’ve seen a clip or two.”

“And to me, a step or two has been lost. Then also he got his a— whooped in the UFC. I don’t think anybody really believes someone 200 pounds soaking wet with no explosive bone in their body could ever really do anything to me.”

Yes, Punk’s time in the UFC was not great as he lost both fights. Basically, he seemed out of place.

Now, he is back in pro wrestling as part of AEW. After seven years away, he is bound to be a few steps behind.

So far, Punk seems to be having a blast and the fans do not mind either. As for Punk vs Reigns in a WWE ring, that seems highly doubtful.

There are so many gimmick matches in wrestling that they often get watered down. Hair vs Hair Match is not common, but they do happen.

In fact, AEW held one just last week. That contest saw two males wrestle.

As for women, they rarely get tossed into that type of gimmick match. It was supposed to happen with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, but a troubled individual caused WWE to change plans.

Back at WrestleMania XX, Molly Holly took on Victoria. There was a lot on the line with gold and hair.

In the end, Molly was shaved bald in-front of a packed Madison Square Garden crowd. While on Shoot Conversations with Chris Hero Podcast, she explained why she pitched the idea.

Molly Holly On Pitching Being Bald

“I didn’t pitch many ideas,” said Molly. “Honestly, I’m not that creative with storylines and all of that.”

“I know there have been times where I was like, ‘That doesn’t make sense’ or ‘did they put any thought into this?’ I can easily criticize, but the truth is, I don’t know how to write a story and tell a whole soap opera that leads into the three weeks ahead, so I shouldn’t be too critical of how it all goes down.”

“It was just pretty much, they said they weren’t going to have a Women’s Title match at WrestleMania. They said there was no room for it.”

“I was like, ‘drastic times call for drastic measures.’ I made a plan, I had a whole book, I took photos of myself in a bald cap, I wrote a few storylines, all including major stars to help build me up. Like, ‘Stone Cold is going to say this about me.’”

“I did everything I could to build up this story and I think the photographs of me with the bald head helped. Like, ‘oh, this does look pretty dramatic.’”

She pithed the idea and it worked. While the moment is not highlighted much in WWE history, it was memorable.

Molly was willing to lose her hair to just get booked. So, for all her accomplishments, she is rightfully a WWE Hall of Famer.
