WWE has big plans for one NXT Superstar, and it might be a name that generates some surprises. Plus, ever wonder why we don’t see Marc Mero at any of the RAW Reunion shows?

Big Plans For NXT Superstar

The fact that WWE has big plans for one NXT Superstar may not be big news. NXT Superstars are supposed to aspire to have WWE make big plans for them, after all.

However, in this instance, one particular Superstar is getting the new focus.

No, we are not thinking about Karrion Kross or Raquel Gonzalez. We aren’t even thinking about Bronson Reed, in spite of his own main roster rumors.

For this case, it’s all about Roderick Strong.

So, what big plans are brewing for this NXT Superstar?

His NXT return certainly got off to a big start, as he is front and center with the brand’s newest stable, The Diamond Mine.

According to Fightful, there are big plans for Roderick Strong as 2021 progresses.

He, along with current Cruiserweight Champion Kushida, are part of a big plan to boost the significance of that division.

If the plan actually is executed, and done well, there is reason for optimism.

Over the years, there have been so many excellent technical wrestlers in NXT.

For whatever reason, if they made the leap to the main roster, things don’t always translate for the smaller talents.

On top of that, when the cruiserweight strap was on the main roster shows, it was not a focus. Sometimes, it barely showed up.

With the title now in the NXT realm, it seems as though there are finally big plans for it, and for some NXT Superstars.

For fans of that exciting and technical style, 2021 could prove to be a very significant year.

Why We Don’t See Marc Mero

WWE loves to give us nostalgia acts and reunion shows…so here’s why we don’t see Marc Mero at any of them.

Or, I should say…here is why Marc Mero thinks we don’t see him on any WWE shows since he left the company.

Mero, who worked under the name Johnny B. Badd in WCW before he came to WWE, was outspoken about drug use and specifically steroids.

Marc Mero has no regrets about speaking out about it, just as he is glad he stopped using.

However, he is glad that WWE changed how it handles drug issues now.

But, when it comes to showing up at a WWE event, planned or otherwise, Marc Mero believes he’s blackballed, for his speaking out.

It sounds like he’d do it again, knowing what it may have ultimately cost him.

In the grand scheme of in-ring wrestling history, Mero isn’t on anyone’s Mount Rushmore.

Many probably know his wife more than him, and perhaps because she’s the current Mrs. Brock Lesnar.

However, for having a role in changing how WWE deals with steroids and other drug abuse, Mero should probably get more praise than he seems to.

Then again, this was his view on things, as presented by him on a recent podcast. WWE has not (and likely will not) confirm or deny why we don’t see Marc Mero.
