Today, we line up 10 failed WWE wrestling couples that did not make last. So, which made our top 10 and why?
1. Billy and Chuck

One of the most memorable failed WWE wrestling couples are undoubtedly Billy and Chuck. Of course, they are memorable for all the wrong reasons these days.
The storyline between Billy and Chuck would no longer fly these days. After all, the entire storyline made fun of the LGBTQ community.
Of course, this relationship went sour after it was revealed the pair did everything as a stunt. And that spelled the end for popular Billy and Chuck.
2. Sunny & Candido

Sunny and Candido’s relationship was filled with deceit and turmoil.
According to later interviews, Candido claims Sunny cheated on him numerous times. In fact, he claimed she slept with the likes of Shawn Michaels and The British Bulldog.
Unfortunately, the story doesn’t get much better for Candido. The wrestler died at the age of 33 due to surgery complications.
Sunny on the other hand, is still incarcerated at the time of this article. She faced numerous arrests over the years.
3. Chyna and Triple H

Triple H and Chyna were dating while they were in DX. However, their story does not have a happy ending.
Chyna and Triple H eventually broke up. HHH also moved onto none other than Stephanie McMahon.
To this day, there is much debate on whether or not Triple H cheated on Chyna. Unfortunately, Chyna died in 2016 from an accidental overdose.
Chyna has not been inducted in the Hall of Fame as an individual wrestler. Many fans are still waiting on this to happen and blame McMahon and Triple H for withholding that honor.
4. Terri and Goldust

The relationship between Terri Runnels (Marlena) and Goldust was complicated to say the least.
Goldust was married to Terri Runnels, who managed him in the nineties. However, relationship problems between Goldust and his father Dusty broke the couple up. According to reports, Dustin’s father did not approve of the relationship and the marriage.
Terri and Goldust did have a daughter together in 1994, Dakota. Fortunately, the pair is again on speaking terms after many years.
Runnels did get in trouble with the law in 2019 for possession of a firearm. However, charges against her were dropped later that year.
5. John Cena and Mickie James

Another one of our failed WWE wrestling couples are Mickie James and John Cena. Once again, this gets quite complicated.
Cena and James had an affair in 2007. A year later, the relationship was turned into a storyline.
After their break up, James was released from WWE. Years later, she returned but her career was never truly the same.
In short, dating John Cena comes with big risks. If you’re in the WWE, Cena can either make or break your career going forward.
6. Kurt Angle and Karen Jarrett

This was an interesting one to say the least. So, let’s dive into the relationship between Kurt Angle, Karen Jarrett, and Jeff Jarrett.
Kurt Angle and Karen Jarrett were once married. Unfortunately, Kurt’s addiction to painkillers killed their marriage.
Karen started a relationship with Jeff Jarrett after her marriage ended. The entire thing ended up as a storyline on TNA several years later.
Once again, wrestling used grains of truth to create a live storyline. Unfortunately, the basis of the story was something quite tragic.
Fortunately, Kurt Angle is a lot better these days.
7. Nancy Sullivan and Chris Benoit

This story is extremely tragic…
The relationship between Chris and Nancy started as an affair. At the time, Nancy was married to Kevin Sullivan.
It was claimed that Kevin hit Nancy and that Benoit came to her defense. Unfortunately, Nancy was not safe with Benoit either.
Years after their marriage, Benoit killed Nancy and his young son. Afterwards, it was claimed that brain damage was responsible for Benoit’s changing behavior.
To this day, the story of Nancy and Chris is the most tragic in wrestling history.
8. Marc Mero and Sable

The marriage between Marc Mero and Sable was doomed the moment WCW became part of WWE.
Vince McMahon wanted Marc Mero’s character after to continue. However, things changed when Sable became the real focal point.
Mero’s career died down in the WWE, but Sable’s soared. And while on the road with the WWE, she started a relationship with Brock Lesnar.
Sable eventually divorced Marc Mero and married Lesnar. The pair later had two sons together, Duke and Turk.
For Sable, Brock Lesnar was her third marriage. They married in 2006 and are still married today.
9. Matt Hardy and Lita

Matt Hardy and Lita were dating during the highlight of their careers. However, Lita cheated on Matt with Edge.
The confrontation got heated and actually led to Matt’s release from the WWE.
Fan backlash was tremendous, which gave Matt his job back. The WWE then decided to give Matt and Edge a wrestling feud.
Lita eventually left Edge and everyone patched things up years later. Matt got married and Edge moved on with Beth Phoenix.
In the end, things turned out okay for all parties involved.
10. Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth

Savage and Miss Elizabeth were a couple in real life. But the couple eventually drifted apart.
When they broke up, Elizabeth started dating Lex Luger. Unfortunately, Miss Elizabeth died from an overdose in 2003.
Randy Savage also died prematurely.
Savage remarried his childhood sweetheart Barbara Lynn Payne. Sadly, Randy died after suffering a heart attack while driving with his wife to Florida.
Until this day, Miss Elizabeth and Savage are the most iconic couple in wrestling history. In spite of the tragedies, we remember them fondly.
