Can “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt’s Return Save SmackDown Live?

WWE fans noticed the absence of The Fiend since his defeat against Braun Strowman at Money in the Bank. However, this could all change soon as The Fiend is set to return to the SmackDown Live brand.

Will the return of The Fiend bring viewers back to SmackDown Live?

The Fiend Returns This Friday On SmackDown Live

WWE teased the return of The Fiend this week, as WWE On Fox revealed the Firefly Fun House returns this Friday. Of course, the return of The Fiend could mean serious trouble for Braun Strowman.

Strowman has been the champion since April 4th, although he technically won the title earlier on March 25 or 26 during tapings. Out of the entire roster, Bray Wyatt has the biggest claim on the title.

It is likely that Bray Wyatt will plague Braun Strowman for the upcoming weeks. Of course, the WWE could take a different direction, but that is unlikely.

Where Has Bray Wyatt Been?

Contrary to rumors, Bray Wyatt has not been absent due to injury. In fact, he recently welcomed his second child with WWE announcer JoJo Offerman.

It is worth nothing that this is Bray’s second child with JoJo offerman, but that he does have other children with his previous wife. Wyatt’s first wife Samantha filed for divorce in 2017.

The reasons for the divorce are still a point of contention to this day. Many believe that it was an affair between Wyatt and JoJo Offerman that ended the marriage.

Bray has one other child, a son Knash Sixx, with JoJo Offerman, who was born on May 18, 2019. Interestingly, Knash’s godfather is Braun Strowman.

Will WWE Creative Support The Fiend?

The previous return of Matt Hardy to WWE has taught us some valuable lessons. If WWE creative is not behind you, then your character will be forgotten quickly.

That poses an interesting question for Bray Wyatt. Will WWE creative provide the necessary support for The Fiend on SmackDown Live?

WWE creative has one main issue at the moment and that is the lack of long-term plans and storylines. This was shown clearly at Backlash, as everyone knew Miz and Morrison had no chance of taking the Universal Championship.

Aside from The Fiend, there is not much going on on the blue brand. Of course, this has a lot to do with the absence of guys such as Roman Reigns.

When it comes down to the Universal Championship, fans are divided as to who should have the belt. There are plenty of fans in the Strowman camp, but The Fiend remains popular as well.

The story between The Fiend and Braun Strowman can become much greater considering the history between both men. While there have been some signs of how great that story could be, creative needs to put some more work into it.

If handled right, the story between Strowman and Wyatt could pull some fans back to the WWE. Long-term plans is what the company needs right now, so let’s hope they deliver.
