The leftist quest to get Colin Kaepernick signed to another NFL team has just gained some serious momentum. Coach Anthony Lynn is looking at the quarterback. And Colin Kaepernick has officially been added to the Los Angeles Chargers’ workout list.
Fox News reported that Chargers’ Coach Lynn said on Wednesday that Kaepernick’s name has been placed on the team’s “workout list.” He added that while the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback fits what he wants in his offense, the team doesn’t yet have specific plans to work with him. At least not yet.
“I haven’t talked to him, (but) he fits the style of quarterback that we want,” Lynn said. “We’re happy with the three quarterbacks that we want, but you can’t have enough on the runway.”

The coach then confirmed that Kaepernick is on a “workout list” for the Chargers. That could be an indication that Kaepernick may be brought in as a replacement if one of the other quarterbacks is injured.
President Donald Trump was asked whether Kaepernick deserved another shot in the NFL, and his response was interesting, to say the least.
“If he deserves it, he should,” Trump replied. “If he has the playing ability. He started off great and then he didn’t end up very great in terms as a player.”
Trump is undoubtedly referring to the fact that Kaepernick led the 49ers to an abysmal losing record during his final season with the team. Of course, that’s something his supporters conveniently ignore when demanding that he be resigned.
Despite this, the NFL seems to be firmly in Kaepernick’s corner, as they seem more desperate than ever for a team to sign him.
Just days ago, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell effectively begged teams to sign Kaepernick. However, he hasn’t played football professionally since he left the 49ers after the 2016 season.
“Well, listen, if he wants to resume his career in the NFL, then obviously it’s gonna take a team to make that decision,” Goodell said. “But I welcome that, support a club making that decision, and encourage them to do that.”

Not everyone agrees with him though:

In the end it looks like it pays to basically have Roger Goodell as your ‘player agent’. Not to mention the mainstream press.
But the huge elephant in the room remains Kaepernick’s infamous anthem-kneeling protests. They were not only disrespectful, but also would be a major distraction for any team.
If NFL teams are not going to blacklist Kaepernick for kneeling during the anthem (which many feel they should do), hopefully they can at least see that he is not worth the distraction that he would surely cause to his fellow players with his antics.
