Since it was announced that Prince Harry would marry American actress Meghan Markle, things haven’t been typical for the British royal family, who have long prided tradition and protocol above all else. But in a rare move, a Kensington Palace spokesperson issued a statement regarding the latest media reports of a dust-up between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
The explanation of the incident given to longtime royal reporter Camilla Tominey for The Daily Telegraph said Meghan Markle upset Duchess Kate shortly after she gave birth to Prince Louis over the way Markle spoke to her staff. The incident reportedly left Kate in tears.
However, in response to questions about the rumored emotional upset, a Kensington Palace spokesman actually addressed the issue, stating “This never happened.”
As we’ve seen in the past year since Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, announced their plans to marry, the Royals have been beset with continuous embarrassments from Markle’s estranged family, save her mother who attended the summer wedding alone.
That protocol is now being broken to address rumors regarding the expecting Markle and her new sister-in-law, one has to wonder if the younger members of the royal family will prove to be more reactive to the media than their predecessors, and is that a good or bad thing?

Whether or not the disputes between the two brothers’ growing families are true, the upcoming move by Harry and Meghan from their currently shared residence at Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle ought to alleviate any tension. The soon-to-be parents will keep their offices at Kensington Palace, so the brothers who have always been so close will still see each other frequently.
