‘Cheers’ Fans Rejoice – Sam Malone And Woody Boyd Are Back

A place where everybody knows your name? Sounds great. Well, Cheers fans, you can get ready for a little bit of that nostalgia very soon.

Stars of the hit sitcom, often showing up on lists of the best television shows of all time, will be opening up the bar again.

Or at least stories about the bar.

Cheers stars Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson will be taking part in a new podcast to air on SiriusXM, some 30 years after the famed sitcom aired for the final time.

The podcast title is a frothy mouthful: “Where Everybody Knows Your Name with Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson (Sometimes).”

Cheers Stars Danson Woody Harrelson Together Again (Sometimes)

Fans of the show Cheers are going to love this podcast!

Reminiscing on some of their favorite moments and iconic scenes with a pair of its biggest stars in Danson and Harrelson will be nothing short of fantastic.

A press release indicates that the podcast will focus on the pair’s overall careers and lives in general.

“Each week on ‘Where Everybody Knows Your Name,’ Ted and (when he can find him) Woody will sit down with a special guest to dig beyond the career highlights and into the stuff of life that makes us who we are,” the announcement states.

“While listeners can expect some fond reminiscences of their time on Cheers, the show will mostly serve as a freewheeling exchange of laughter and wisdom as the charismatic duo reconnect both with each other and with the talented friends they’ve made throughout their incredible careers,” it adds.

Guests lined up for the show are many and include such Hollywood stars as Nick Offerman, Martin Short, Will Arnett, and Kristen Bell.

The Mix recently published a list of the top sitcoms that have aged well over the years, with Cheers topping them all.

It has been described as quite possibly “the most classic sitcom of all time.”

New episodes of the “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” podcast will be available every Wednesday beginning June 12.

In a 2022 interview, actor Danson revealed why he continues to watch the iconic show so many years after it premiered.

“It still makes me laugh when I watch sometimes,” he said. “It’s funny and it’s great to see my friends and they make me laugh.”

They make us laugh too. And we still love to see them. Sam, Norm, Cliff, Carla, Diane, Frasier, Rebecca, and Coach.

Can’t wait to hear some new (and old) stories about Danson and his friends.

Cheers!
