meghan markle nephew reality show

Meghan Markle’s nephew, Tyler Dooley, is set to join in the new MTV reality show called “The Royal World” and if his comments so far are anything to go by, it will be another embarrassment for the Duchess.

Tyler is a scant 10 years younger than his aunt and says he grew up thinking of her more as an older sibling.

“We were born and raised together in Los Angeles. I looked at her as a sister actually because we were similar in age, he told the U.K.’s Daily Mail. “We would idolize her as kids. Her personality is unreal. Her smile, she’s just phenomenal. I am just happy that she found someone that she loves.”

Apparently, in the Markle family, the way you show someone how much they’re loved and admired is to continuously embarrass them in front of an international audience while you get yours based solely on ‘I knew them back when…’

Of course, as a marijuana grower in Oregon, Dooley assures viewers he’s not in it for the money.

“People think I am in it for money but I work hard for my money,” he says. “And I make a lot of money.”

So, if true, he’s debasing himself live on television just for the crass notoriety and his 15 minutes of fame? Sorry, Tyler, but that kind of makes this all worse.

Meghan Markle’s family feud

Markle’s aspiring reality tv star nephew also blames Buckingham Palace for the mortifying drama surrounding Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry.

“Had we had some guidance and assistance – perhaps from the Royal Family – we could have avoided a lot of this stuff,” he said in reference to Meghan’s father and sister selling access in the weeks before her wedding.

Is he saying that if the Royal Family called him tomorrow and told him being on the MTV show was inappropriate for a nephew of the Duchess, he’d quit? Because I’m certain that could be arranged. The fact is, he clearly knows he and his family are opportunists and care not about how it might make Meghan look and feel.

Dooley isn’t the only “royal” taking part in this show, as a goddaughter of a Russian princess — I’m sorry, but didn’t the Bolsheviks take care of them? — the son of a Nigerian chief, and “a triple Baroness” are among the other castmates.

The part of the Cinderella story you never hear about is how her embarrassing step-family likely behaved once she married Prince Charming, but one can imagine Meghan Markle can empathize as her family gives the fictional ones a run for their money.

Thankfully, the expecting Duchess of Sussex has carried her head high through all her family’s antics and at least she has her mother, who’s clearly where Markle inherited her grace and sense of dignity from.
