7. The Madisons
Originally titled 2024, it was confirmed in August 2024. Michelle Pfeiffer will executive produce and star in the show, which will continue the saga with a new family and a new Montana setting. It’s supposed to be a contemporary look at loss and human connection as a New York City family relocates to the Madison River Valley in 2024. While confirmed, it’s not yet released.

6. 1883 (2021-2022)
1883 is a prequel to Yellowstone that dives into the origins of how the Dutton family wound up in Montana. The miniseries focuses on former American Civil War Confederate captain James Dutton, played by TimMcGraw, and his family, including wife Margaret, played by Faith Hill, daughter Elsa, played by Isabel May, and son John, played by Audie Rick. The 10-episode spinoff chronicles the journey the Duttons face through the Old West and the Great Plains to find a new home.

5. 1923 (2022-Present)

Announced in November 2023, 1944 is another prequel that should follow the footsteps of 1883 and 1923. However, details on the show are scarce, including the title, though it’s confirmed that the show will be another thrilling and unexpected journey. Supposedly, John Dutton II should be the main role in the show, but news, including the cast, hasn’t been released.

1. Y: Marshals
One of the best Yellowstone spinoffs, though, is Y: Marshals, which will follow Kayce Dutton as he joins the U.S. Marshals. The show will pick up after Yellowstone’s season finale, where Kayce joins an elite unit of “U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana.” It’s going to be an exciting alternative to the normal show that you watch, while still following the familiar character that many love.
