Former WWE superstar Enzo Amore had a lengthy conversation with Chris Jericho on his podcast. During the interview, he discussed many subjects including his release, relationship with Triple H and Pac, as well as his troubled road to redemption in the wrestling world.
Triple H’s Warning About Fame
The relationship between Triple H and Enzo Amore has been quite contentious. In fact, nZo has lashed out to his former mentor several times in previous interviews. However, he seemed to be taking a different stance during Chris Jericho’s podcast. He stated Triple H warned him about the trappings of fame. He also said he put himself in the position that got him released from the company.
“That’s what Hunter was fearful of, so I don’t blame Hunter for being the guy that wanted me gone when s–t hit the fan because he didn’t want me in that situation. Do you know what I’m saying? I put myself in the situation where something like that could happen and he knew that could happen.”
The Real Reason Why Neville (Pac) Left WWE
Some people speculated that Neville left the company because he was forced to drop the title to nZo when they both were in the cruiserweight division. However, nZo claimed he left for a much different reason. He states Pac was burnt out due to an inhuman schedule.
“So he was burnt out, bro, he was burnt out, and he wanted to get off 205 Live and start working guys on the main roster that weren’t in big spots.”
Enzo Amore And His Reunion With Big Cass
Despite being friends for many years, things went wrong for nZo and Big Cass in the WWE. The pair stopped speaking for a little while and the exact reasons for that are still a point of contention. Fortunately, the pair have now reunited. Big Cass revealed how it all happened during the interview with Chris Jericho.
“Yeah, so I guess nZo on a random day, gets a phone call from somebody, gets a call from somebody under the Sinclair Broadcasting umbrella. Then he calls me.”
While their appearance at the G1 Supercard was a work, it led to another scandal. The pair were escorted out by security guards and many believe their invasion of G1 Supercard was real. Shortly afterwards, they were completely ignored by Ring of Honor. During the interview, nZo revealed his frustration with the promotion.
“We put our f*cking lives on the line for that and we didn’t even get a goddamn thank you! That’s what pissed me off the most! They didn’t know what the f*ck was going on, so they could have beat the s–t out of us, 6-on-2!”
nZo and CaZXL (Big Cass) claim that they were scheduled for more appearances for Ring of Honor, but that they have not been contacted since the incident at G1 Supercard. In the same interview, nZo also claimed the WWE contacted him before Survivor Series. However, the latter has been denied by NXT’s boss Triple H. There are many points of contention in this interview, so statements should be taken with a grain of salt.
