Rumored All Out Main Event, AEW Open To Working With WWE?

Adam Page was rumored to challenge for the World Championship in the All Out main event, but plans have changed. Also, would AEW be open to working with WWE?

Rumored All Out Main Event

On last Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, there was a huge 10-man elimination match with big implications. One team would get title shots if they won, but if they lost, no chance at the belts.

In the end, The Elite defeated “Hangman” Adam Page and Dark Order. Therefore, Page does not get a AEW World Championship match against Kenny Omega.

Also, the same goes for Dark Order and the the Tag Team Championship.

The belief is still Omega vs. Page will happen down the road. Meanwhile, CM Punk appearing at the show is a strong probability.

So, that leaves Omega with no opponent for the All Out pay per view. During the Wrestling Observer Radio, they noted how Christian might get the title shot.

Christian shocked fans in January after being cleared to wrestle again. He was one of the surprise entrants in the 2021 WWE Royal Rumble Match.

Then, only a few months later, Christian signed with AEW. Currently, he is undefeated under the AEW banner.

Catch AEW’s All Out pay per view on September 5 from the NOW Arena, near Chicago with a main event TBA.

AEW Open To Working With WWE?

A big difference between AEW and WWE is working with other promotions. For the most part, WWE likes to work alone compared to AEW who have several working deals.

In particular, AEW works with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), AAA and Impact Wrestling. The result has seen the promotions have various wrestlers work under their banner.

For Kenny Omega, he has been working extra between AEW and Impact Wrestling (plus, AAA shortly). For both companies, he also hold their world titles.

Despite wrestling almost everywhere, Omega has never made it to WWE TV. He does not see AEW and WWE working together, but he also knows never say never in pro wrestling.

“The one huge crossover, will you ever see WWE team up with anybody?,” said Omega on Wrestling Observer Radio. “Who knows?”

“I feel as the world evolves and changes and time goes by, people become more open-minded to everything. Whether it be the wrestlers themselves, people in the office, the fans. I wouldn’t hold my breath, but at the same time I would never say it’s impossible.”

Back in February, Cody Rhodes was asked a similar question. He was open to working with WWE and sees no reason the two cannot get along.

It seems doubtful WWE and AEW will work together. When Vince McMahon sees competition, he is more about getting rid of them than becoming partners.

McMahon never worked with WCW and that could be because Eric Bischoff used tactics to get the upper-hand. Impact Wrestling was once a small piece of competition, but they have greatly fallen since then.

The lineage of pro wrestling dates back centuries, tying the world together through the art of storytelling. After nearly 30 years of watching, now Joe has the chance to report the news about men and women competing inside a 20-foot by 20-foot ring.
