This may come as a surprise, one massive Superstar almost quit WWE due to an incredibly stunning reason.

That Superstar would be none other than The Rock.

And, why would one of WWE’s biggest Superstars ever nearly quit?

Believe it or not, financial trouble. The Rock needed money, and one path to getting it at the time would have seen him quit WWE.

To see that now seems so very baffling. The Rock was one of the biggest Superstars in WWE history.

Now that he’s no longer an active Superstar, he has gone on to be one of the biggest action movie superstars today, regularly starring in box office blockbusters.

Neither role screams “financial difficulties”, but remember, The Rock wasn’t always The Rock. At one point, he was lowly Rocky Maivia.

JJ Dillon joined Gerald Briscoe and JBL on their YouTube show “Stories with Briscoe and Bradshaw”, and on the show, he told a most unexpected story.

Shortly after Rocky debuted for WWE, he approached JJ Dillon about finding someplace to go. In his role with the company, Dillon could project that Rocky was going to blow up, but the young Rock could not imagine.

Rocky told him that he only had 12 dollars, which was an issue Dillon quickly rectified with company petty cash. It may be the best $200 in petty cash anyone has ever spent.

Whatever else might have been said, it was enough to keep the young Superstar from almost quitting WWE. Instead of us saying The Rock quit WWE…we now all know how that story goes.

With rumors of a big return not going away, his is likely a story with another chapter or two left to be written.

In the meantime, he continues to rule Hollywood just as he ruled the WWE.

News On Zelina Vega Return

This is a bit of a rapidly developing story, but we have some news on Zelina Vega’s return.

If you somehow missed it, Zelina Vega made her return on the July 2nd SmackDown.

Vega was released from WWE in 2020, but in a matter of months, we saw a 180. It was reported that Zelina Vega signed back with WWE in the not too distant past.

Fans wondered when and how she would make her return on television. Those questions only got amplified when her real-life husband, Aleister Black, was released.

According to Fightful, Zelina Vega is expected to serve as a heel on SmackDown.

During her return on July 2nd, she took on Liv Morgan. Thus far, Morgan has been a babyface, so things check out.

Of course, Morgan defeated Vega with a bit of a heel move, but that’s neither here nor there.

For a while, we wondered when Zelina Vega would return. Now we know.

Honestly, I’d have loved to see WWE keep a slot open in the Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match.

Having Vega make a surprise return, during the match, and then win it? That would have been quite the return indeed.
