Before SmackDown, three top NXT wrestlers worked a match. Also, WWE has confirmed Bray Wyatt for an August show.

Top NXT Wrestlers Spotted At SmackDown

On SmackDown, the big story was the Hell in a Cell Match Main Event. The show concluded with Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeating Rey Mysterio.

Although, there was apparently another story backstage. NXT’s Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Bronson Reed were present.

Both men worked matches against other talent according to F4Wonline.com. But, who they fought against was not disclosed and we are not sure if Scarlett was ringside.

There has been talk for awhile now about Kross. From the moment he signed with WWE, the belief was a main roster spot was only a matter of time.

So far, Kross has been unstoppable in NXT. He has steamrolled through most of his opponents and is a time NXT World Champion.

His only setback was getting injured when he beat Keith Kross for his first title reign. That resulted in him dropping the belt only days later.

Once Kross returned, he quickly regained the belt. Along with his valet and real life girlfriend, Scarlett, both are seen as big stars.

As for Reed, he is the current North American Champion. The big man has impressed many during his limited run in NXT.

Status Of NXT Wrestlers Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Bronson Reed

Currently, Kross and Scarlett are set to return to SmackDown next week. Some think WWE might have them start taping vignettes.

As for Reed, we are still awaiting further details on what WWE has planned.

Typically, WWE likes to take the belts off NXT wrestlers before they join RAW or SmackDown. Dropping gold after a successful reign can be an indication someone is main roster bound.

The last Takeover event was a week ago with In Your House. At the show, neither wrestler lost their title.

The WWE Draft will take place this year during the final week of August and continue into the first week of September. In the past, we have seen NXT wrestlers make the jump that way.

Bray Wyatt’s Return

A big absence from TV has been “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. After a few months away, he returned to challenge Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37.

In a shocking moment, The Fiend lost thanks to Alexa Bliss seemingly turning on The Fiend.

The angle was never followed-up. Bliss continued to use her new twisted gimmick and Bray Wyatt appeared in a taped promo.

There was some talk that Wyatt was still struggling with the death of Brodie Lee (Luke Harper in WWE). But, that has not been confirmed.

Right now, WWE is advertising Wyatt fo the August 9 episode of RAW. That is the only show he has been currently booked in.

Of course, WWE could add him to other shows in the coming weeks. With live fans returning in mid July, WWE is looking to load up their shows.

It will be interesting if the fans get Wyatt or The Fiend when he returns. Also, we still need to know why Bliss turned on him.
