WWE superstars quit 2021

There are several WWE superstars who should quit the company before 2021 ends. But who did we choose and why?

Some of our choices might sound surprising, but there is always logic behind the madness.

WWE Superstars Who Should Quit Before 2021 Ends

AJ Styles

AJ Styles is one of the most successful WWE superstars across all brands. So, why on earth would we choose him as one of the WWE superstars to quit the company before the end of 2021?

Well, our reasoning is quite simple. We honestly believe that AJ’s talent is wasted on the WWE at this point in time.

While he is featured every week, his storylines have been far from spectacular. Styles also has a few good years left, so we would love to see him do something a bit more exciting.

In addition to poor bookings and storylines, Styles is also missing some of his Bullet Club compatriots. And since the Good Brothers Gallows and Anderson recently made an appearance at AEW, why not have AJ join the fray?

The Viking Raiders

The Viking Raiders

I don’t even know where to start when it comes down to the Viking Raiders. Needless to say, they are definitely one of the first I thought about when it came to WWE superstars who should quit before 2021 ends.

The Viking Raiders were NXT’s most impressive tag team a mere year and a half ago. But now, they are the laughing stock of the main roster.

WWE booked the Raiders in the worst types of matches. They turned into a comedic act, despite their rather imposing demeanour and style in the NXT ring.

Who knows what McMahon was thinking when he rebranded this star team. But as it stands now, these two WWE superstars should quite the company before the end of 2021.

Maybe the Viking Raiders could find themselves to their former glory in a promotion such as IMPACT or AEW. For now, it certainly is not the WWE.

Lana

Many fans have a love-hate relationship with Lana. Unfortunately, this is largely due to the WWE.

Alongside her husband Rusev, Lana was one of the most popular managers on the roster. But poor bookings, storylines, and a tendency to make her look like an idiot have absolutely ruined Lana’s rep.

When her husband Rusev left the WWE for AEW and became Miro, things turned even worse for Lana. It almost seemed like the company was punishing Lana for it.

One of the things that hurt Lana the most were the brief storylines that arguably went nowhere. It seems the company refuses to invest in her, despite being a hit with fans originally.

Lana would be much better off at AEW alongside her husband Miro again. Of course, it could also give her the opportunity to go into women’s singles competition.

Eventually, I am sure Lana will get sick of her treatment in the WWE. Maybe she will make that switch to AEW, and certainly will take some of her following with her.

Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin

Even though WWE fans love to hate Corbin, he is certainly one of the WWE superstars who should quit before the end of the 2021. After all, 2020 was probably one of the worst years for the King of the Ring.

Baron Corbin used to have the full support of Vince McMahon. It also reflected in the storylines he got, as well as the hatred from fans.

But while he built his career on being the disliked guy in the company, he has now become the most unmemorable superstar of the year.

Things could still turn around for Corbin. But it seems the WWE has its eyes set on new talent such as Riddle and Keith Lee.

If this continues though, Baron Corbin is in danger of disappearing backstage forever and eventually being released. So, quitting before the end of 2021 and heading to another promotion could give him the new start he needs.

Akira Tozawa

Akira Tozawa is one of the few superstars on this list of which I am convinced things cannot be turned around in the WWE. Evidently, his problem has been Vince McMahon’s ridiculous gimmicks.

It is difficult to imagine how you can ruin a talent like Akira Tozawa. However, this is exactly what happened to Akira Tozawa.

First, he was featured quite heavily on 205 Live. But the brand never really went anywhere and the wrestler disappeared in the background for the first time.

Some time later, Tozawa made a return as a ninja. If you haven’t seen it with your own eyes, it might be too difficult to believe.

The ninja storyline only lasted a couple of weeks though. And as expected, Akira Tozawa faded in the background again.

Despite the poor choices made by the WWE, Tozawa always seemed to be liked by the WWE Universe. Unfortunately, WWE never capitalized on this likeability.

Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was set up for success as soon as he made the main roster. That being said, things seemed to change dramatically for the strongman in 2020.

He received some of the attention this year when Roman Reigns went on sabbatical. But once Roman returned, Braun Strowman faded into the background once more.

Braun Strowman is in danger of becoming a forgotten wrestler. It is almost to difficult to imagine, especially when you look back at 2016 to 2017.

If Braun cannot rebuild himself on the main roster before the summer, he should consider heading to another promotion. At that point, it is clear that Vince has forgotten about the Monster Among Men.

It would be a serious loss for the WWE though, as Strowman is a major attraction. Of course, there are other large men on the current roster that could take his place in a minute.

So why should Braun Strowman not head to other promotions and take full advantage of the experience he accumulated in the WWE. As it stands now, it seems WWE is not that interested in giving him more opportunities.

However, since Braun does have a good bond with Vince McMahon, my guess is that he will stay loyal to the brand.
