We kick off another wrestling week with another RAW In A Nutshell. This week, let’s ponder this: who will survive til Survivor Series?
It may sound like a crazy question, but is it really?
We’ve got Randy Orton, with his newly won title, being chased by The Miz, The Fiend and Drew McIntyre. Will he even make it to his match with Roman Reigns?
The New Day are set to battle the Hurt Business…will they survive til Survivor Series to take on the Street Profits?
And what about what Retribution has been promising? Mustafa Ali has been talking some big plans…when they are done, who will survive til Survivor Series?
So, as you can see, there’s a lot at stake on this week’s RAW.
Let’s crack open this Nutshell and find out!
Flip a coin between these two…
The triple threat match was good, even if the stipulation was a bit curious. Sheamus and Keith Lee were already on Team RAW, but Braun Strowman was not.
Winner got on Team RAW…but two of three were already ON Team RAW.
And the two on one handicap match was good too.
Honorable mention: R-Truth and Bobby Lashley. Just a pointless match.
The winner: women’s tag match. Ugly and just…ugly.
Did I mention it was ugly?
Tough calls here.
Orton remains strong, so I like that.
Drew still staying relevant is a plus.
I think of all, my favorites were Alexa Bliss and The Fiend. Call those two the sort of X-Factors of the show.
For yet another week, poor Lana goes through the table.
Well, we have a few choices tonight, don’t we?
R-Truth got destroyed by Bobby Lashley. The match was kind of pointless, being non-title and all…but why have it happen?
Then, we had Tucker get squashed by Ricochet (and then by Retribution). Really odd booking.
Nothing.
Well…that didn’t take long…almost. As in, we had a near cash-in, after having none since Money In The Bank earlier this year.
Of course, Miz said he was cashing in after McIntyre took out Orton…but then McIntyre took out The Miz too.
So…no cash-in, failed or otherwise, just yet.
That women’s tag team match…just not fun to watch.
Maybe to call it all a botch is mean…but it just wasn’t enjoyable.
Not much, but a few choices…
R-Truth thinking he was meeting Bobby Boucher, and having a water bottle to get signed.
And then the back and forth between the Hurt Business and New Day. Specifically ribbing about Kofi’s 8 second loss, which Kofi then turned on Lashley about a complaint from Lana.
Not the most appropriate humor for a family show, but I laughed.
I’d go with our first almost cash-in. It wasn’t much, but it was worth mentioning anyways.
Also, it seems like the Legend Killer has graduated, right up to Legend. Will be interesting to see if that actually means anything.
The one thing that bothered me most of all was the women’s tag match. I feel like there should be better booking here.
Also, if they really think putting Lana through a table every week is going to get her over…I don’t see it.
I like the booking for the world title picture. We all expect Miz to be in the thick of it, but keeping McIntyre and The Fiend close by is good too.
Survivor Series looks like we might get a few nice matches, and Team RAW looks quite formidable.
I like the seeds being planted for a McIntyre/Sheamus team, if that’s what WWE may have in mind down the road.
Well, this was an interesting way to close out RAW. Orton will have his head on a swivel because Miz is itching to cash in…but me thinks The Fiend will be a factor for some time to come.
