Shaquille O'Neal AEW Run

WWE allegedly has big plans for new call-up Keith Lee. In other news, Shaquille O’Neal has his mind set on an AEW run.

Shaquille O’Neal Wants To Head To AEW

Shaquille O'Neal AEW Run

NBA Hall of Fame Shaquille O’Neal has got a little history with wrestling too. After all, he made a couple appearances in the WWE.

Now, it seems Shaquille O’Neal wants another appearance in the wrestling industry. In fact, the NBA legend has his eye on an appearance in AEW.

It seems like Shaquille O’Neal has been keeping an eye on the wrestling industry. Now, after speaking with The Athletic, he is looking to face none other than Cody Rhodes

“I’d love to fight Cody. Write it. Print it. Text it to him. Call AEW up and tell them.”

Over the years, O’Neal had numerous appearances in the WWE. However, his most notable was a participation in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

A Good Option For Cody?

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes could certainly use a new angle at this point. After all, the former TNT Champion lost his title to Mr. Brodie Lee recently.

Of course, Cody Rhodes is not done with the Dark Order, who cost him the championship. Interestingly, there could be a role for Shaquille O’Neal to play.

Brodie Lee has an entire army behind him. And even though Cody has the Nightmare Family, he could call in some reinforcements to go against the Dark Order.

Now, it does not get much bigger in terms of reinforcements than Shaquille O’Neal. And since the NBA legend already expressed an interest in joining AEW, he could play a pivotal role in the championship feud.

Of course, this is all speculation at this point. Shaquille O’Neal only expressed his desire to appear on AEW recently, so it might take some time for things to come together.

WWE’s Big Plans For Keith Lee

Keith Lee recently got called up to the main roster

Keith Lee recently got a call-up from the NXT roster. And it seems the company has some big plans for him.

Rumor has it that WWE wants to use Keith Lee as one of the company’s top babyfaces. So, if all goes well, Keith Lee could become the new John Cena.

So, it seems Keith Lee got called up for a reason. But did his main roster debut really go that well?

Keith Lee Loses To Randy Orton

Keith Lee lost to Randy Orton during Raw

While you would expect Lee to win during his debut match, WWE had different plans. Unfortunately, the wrestler ended up losing on Raw.

The sad thing about it is that Orton defeated Keith Lee by disqualification. So, the booking certainly did not do the man any favors.

Of course, there is no shame in a dq loss against Randy Orton. Nevertheless, the company will have to book Keith Lee strong going forward if they wish to make him the new main babyface.

A small part of me is scared for the future of Keith Lee. Just look at some of the other call-ups and how they fared on the main roster.

Let’s just hope this does not happen with Keith Lee, but who knows?
