Jinder Mahal's Return

A former champion could be returning to WWE TV any day now. Fans should be on the lookout for Jinder Mahal on their TV screens.

Wrestling Rumors spoke to Mahal, who provided an update. Mahal stated that he is “cleared and waiting.”

On June 28 of last year, Mahal suffered a knee injury. WWE said he would be out six months to a year, so the injury had to be severe.

Mahal’s wrestling career has seen a mix of highs and lows. Currently, he is in his second stint with WWE.

Between 2011 and 2014, he did not do much on the main roster. His biggest claim to fame, was being the jobber stable 3MB with Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre.

Eventually, he was released in the summer of 2014. He retuned to WWE in 2016 and again floated around the roster.

Then, a month after WrestleMania 33 in 2017 everything changed. Mahal was thrusted into the main event scene.

He defeated Randy Orton for his first and, so far, only WWE Championship reign. The idea for the push was to increase WWE’s fanbase in India, even though he was born in Canada.

While champion, Mahal never clicked with fans. He went from a jobber his entire career to main event wrestler out of nowhere.

Mahal would then work random feuds, capturing the WWE 24/7 Championship twice. While injured, he was drafted to RAW.

WWE Makes New Rule About Roman Reigns

Why Roman's earlier leukemia diagnosis means he needs to isolate

Due to COVID-19, WrestleMania 36 underwent numerous dramatic changes. One of the biggest was Roman Reigns opting not to compete.

He was scheduled to face Universal Champion Goldberg in a marquee match. Instead, Braun Strowman took his place and left with the gold.

There are conflicting reports if WWE is upset with Reigns for not working the show. Reigns’ reasoning was valid, as his immune system is susceptible due his battles with leukemia.

When WWE replaced Reigns with Strowman, there was no explanation given. Basically, WWE just added Strowman into the match 24 hours earlier without any reason provided.

In the Wreslting Observer Newsletter, they mentioned how nobody is supposed to mention Reigns’ name. There was no reason provided for the rule.

As of now, there is no timeframe for when Reigns will return to WWE TV. Seeing how the virus is still strong, Reigns could be away from TV for many months.

The last time his name was mentioned on TV occurred on March 27. At that time, he was still booked to face Goldberg.

In the meantime, Reigns’ personal life is getting very busy. He revealed his wife is expecting their second set of twins later this year.
