WWE Releases Statement About Possibly Changing Wrestlemania Date

The WWE was considering moving WrestleMania 36 or cancelling it all together. This is because of the spread of the Coronavirus in the United States. Now, the company has issued an update about the event. So, is WrestleMania going ahead this year?

WrestleMania Will Take Place On April 5th

The WWE released the following statement this week:

“We remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, and like other entertainment properties in the U.S., there are currently no plans to cancel or postpone our upcoming events.”

From the statement, it is clear that the WWE is concerned about the Coronavirus and the safety of fans in Tampa Bay. However, there is currently no reason to cancel the event.

Keep in mind that WrestleMania could still be moved if the spread of the Coronavirus continues in the United States. Even though the reported cases of Coronavirus in the US have been somewhat limited, it could still change as the spread of the disease continues.

How To Keep Yourself Safe At Wrestlemania 36?

If you intend on attending WrestleMania 36 in spite of the Coronavirus, it is important to protect yourself properly.  If you feel worried about getting infected at Wrestlemania, these are some of the things you can do to prevent such an infection.

  • One of the essentials to prevent infection is frequent hand washing. The World Health Organization recommends washing your hands. You can do this with an alcohol-based hand rub or a combination of soap and water. Doing this can kill the virus that is present on your hands and prevent the spread.
  • Keep your distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing. If someone coughs or sneezes in your proximity, keep at least a distance of three feet to prevent infection.
  • Since the hands can easily transmit the various, it is important not to touch your face. If you touch your face when the virus is on your hands, you can get infected.
  • People who are infected with the Coronavirus should not attend WrestleMania 36. It is important to seek medical advice as soon as possible. Symptoms associated with the Coronavirus include coughing, breathing difficulties and fever.

What Do I Do With My Tickets If WrestleMania Gets Cancelled?

A cancellation rarely happens for big events. However, if it does happen, the WWE should provide fans with some form of compensation. It could happen in the form of tickets to another event or a refund of your existing tickets.

To ensure WrestleMania goes without any problems, stay informed on the latest developments.

You can look up information on the website of the World Health Organization. There is a lot of useful information about infection prevention, but also the latest updates in relation to the virus. If you are worried about attending, check the information from the World Health Organization first and foremost. If you prepare yourself fully, you can attend in a safe manner.
