Jennifer Lopez Blasts ‘Walls’ And ‘Cages’ After The Super Bowl

Earlier this week, we reported that Jennifer Lopez had used her Super Bowl performance to make a political statement by depicting children crawling out of cages. Late the next day, Lopez doubled down on this by writing about “walls” and “cages” in an Instagram post that has since been partially deleted.

Lopez Posts About ‘Walls’ And ‘Cages’

Late Monday evening, Lopez posted a video of herself and Shakira before their Super Bowl performance. The Today Show reported:

“All I want my girls, the little girls on stage with me and all over the world to know is how to use their voices and be proud of everything they are,” Lopez said in the caption. “Other people can try to build walls, keep us out or put us in cages. We are proud to recognize that all of us together are what makes this beautiful country truly great.” (The line mentioning “walls” and “cages” appears to have since been removed.)

The Super Bowl halftime show depicted children in cages as the song “Born In The USA” played. One of the children was Lopez’s daughter Emme Maribel Muniz, who crawled out of her cage to join her mother in singing.

Creator Behind Show Confirms Props Were Cages

Tabitha Dumo, one of the creators behind the show, made it clear that this was indeed a political statement when she referred to the props as “cages” in an interview with Buzzfeed.

“Someone can put you in cages or you can put yourself in cages,” Dump said, “so it’s a bigger statement to everyone to see your own potential and not feel limited in this life that we have that’s so special here in this country.”

The kids in cages reference is clearly meant to be a dig at Trump. Liberals love to claim that the current president separates illegal alien children from their families at the border and then puts them in cages. In reality, this was in fact a policy that was put in place by Barack Obama, and Trump was the one to end it in 2018.

Lopez Looks Foolish Backtracking

It’s a bit ridiculous that Lopez tried to backtrack on this by deleting the “walls” and “cages” part of her Instagram post when anyone could see that she was trying to make a political statement. She’s already exposed herself as a liberal who has bought into the left’s false narrative that Trump is a racist. So, she might as well stick to her guns.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
