When Dean Ambrose left the WWE in 2019, it sent shockwaves throughout the universe. However, the company gave Dean Ambrose a decent farewell. The Shield officially said goodbye on television, and it led to 376 K likes at the time of this article. A clear winner for 2019!
Number 2: Braun Strowman And Bobby Lashley Arm Wrestle
The prize for the strangest liked videos in this overview goes to Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley, who had an arm wrestling contest. At the time of this post, the video has racked up 294K likes. Only in the world of wrestling people!
Number 3: The Undertaker Appears To Help Roman Reigns
Roman is quite dominant in this overview, although this time he appears in this overview for a completely different reason. In fact, The Undertaker racked up the most likes when he came to the aid of The Big Dog and gave Shane Mcmahon the punishment of a lifetime. With 274K likes, this video is a strong number three.
Number 4: Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins Save Dean Ambrose
In the runup to Dean Ambrose leaving the company, The Shield reunited. The reunion was preceded by Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins coming to the aid of their former Shield buddy. The video racked up a total of 255K likes.
Number 5: Roman Reigns Decimates The WWE VIP Room
The feud between Shane McMahon and Roman Reigns has gained another spot in the most liked videos overview. During the feud, Roman head backstage and decimated the VIP room with Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre inside. It led to a whopping 221K likes.
Most Disliked WWE Videos Of 2019
Like our overview of most liked, our most disliked overview is quite strange indeed. Let’s take a look whose entering the Hall of Shame of the WWE Youtube Channel.
Number 1: Charlotte Flair Replaces Becky Lynch
Unfortunately, the most disliked video of the year was the announcement that Charlotte Flair would replace Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35. As Charlotte is one of my personal favorites, this is sad news indeed. However, it is important to note that the dislikes are not due to Charlotte, but due to the fact many fans were looking forward to a match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch. When Becky broke her nose, and it was unclear if she could compete at WrestleMania, they went with the most successful women’s champion in history. Unfortunately, fans did not agree with the decision, leading Charlotte to end up in this overview.
Number 2: Seth Rollins Stomps The Fiend
Seth Rollins’ popularity dwindled in 2019. As the pressure mounted on him to lead Raw to ratings victory, he made some unfortunate statements towards fans on social media. Evidently, it caused fans to turn their back on the once popular Rollins.
Because of his dwindling popularity, the stomp on The Fiend did not go down well. In fact, despite his heel persona, The Fiend has enjoyed some of the biggest fan support. It eventually led to 48K dislikes for the Seth Rollins stomp at Hell in a Cell.
Number 3: Brock Lesnar Attacks Rey and Dominick Mysterio
Even though fans liked the storyline between Brock Lesnar and the Mysterio family, the attack on Dominick Mysterio did not go down to well. In fact, many fans believe that Lesnar was unsafe in his treatment of Dominick and that it was a miracle he was not more seriously injured. Some fans even stated on YouTube that this kind of thing is why they “hate” Brock Lesnar. It led to a total of 40K dislikes on YouTube.
Number 4: Braun Strowman And Bobby Lashley Arm Wrestling Match
Interestingly, this segment was also in our overview of most liked videos of 2019. The reason why is easy to find though, as this was very much a gimmick match. Die-hard wrestling fans usually hate gimmick matches such as this, as they prefer the more solid action on NXT and AEW. So, those fans have accumulated a total amount of 23K dislikes. Still, there is a stark difference in numbers with the previous segment of Brock Lesnar.
Number 5: Kofi Kingston versus Daniel Bryan
When you mention the names of Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan, it is difficult to imagine they would be on a disliked list of anything. Unfortunately, the way things went for Kofi Kingston before his title reign has caused both men to end up on number 5 on this list with a total of 22K dislikes.
The reason why this video had so many dislikes can be found in the treatment of Kofi Kingston. Many fans wanted him to go for the title, but Vince McMahon put him in a rather unfair gauntlet match. Just as it seemed that Kofi would take the win, Vince McMahon added Daniel Bryan to the match last minute. As Bryan took the win, it left fans absolutely furious.
Conclusion Of The Most Liked And Disliked Videos
Personal likes and dislikes do not seem to matter in our overview. In fact, the dislikes have a lot to do with WWE’s creative decisions. Kofi Kingston taking a loss and the arm wrestling match are just prime examples.
When it comes to the most liked videos, one man seems remarkably dominant, Roman Reigns. So, despite many fans who love to hate on Roman Reigns, he does seem to pull the numbers this year. In fact, Roman conquered four out of the five most liked videos. So, even if you do not like Roman Reigns, it seems like he has all his haters beat with a serious victory in 2019. I cannot wait to see what the WWE will bring us in 2020.
