Super Bowl Ad Honoring Military & First Responders Rejected By CBS and It’s Obvious Why

The veteran-owned company Nine Line Apparel is speaking out this week to reveal that CBS rejected their pro-American flag Super Bowl ad, seemingly for being too patriotic.

Nine Line Apparel Super Bowl Ad

The 45-second veteran-owned apparel company’s commercial strongly features veterans, police officers, first responders, and military graves that are decorated with American flags.

The ad is narrated by United States Marine Mark Geist, who survived the Benghazi attack. And the ad’s overall theme is “just stand”, a nod to the national anthem kneeling controversy.

“Some people think you’re crazy for being loyal, defending the Constitution, standing for the flag. Then I guess I’m crazy,” Geist said in the ad.

“For those who kneel, they fail to understand that they can kneel, that they can protest, that they can despise what I stand for, even hate the truth that I speak, but they can only do that because I am crazy enough.”

CEO Furious With CBS

Nine Line Apparel CEO Tom Merritt was furious when CBS told him that they would not run the ad during the Super Bowl, according to The Washington Examiner.

“CBS’s purported reason for rejecting a Super Bowl commercial that extols patriotism is totally out of bounds,” Merritt said.

“Let’s call this what it is: a blatant attempt to censor a message that their politically correct executives find offensive. We urge Americans who believe it’s important to show respect for our flag and national anthem to join us in calling out this offensive bias. It’s time to give a penalty flag to CBS.”

And it’s no wonder Nine Line Apparel’s CEO was furious. You can view the “controversial” ad for yourself below.

CBS Scared To Anger Liberals

This comes after liberals called for a boycott of the Super Bowl in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. You know – the former NFL player who started the anthem-kneeling protests in the first place.

It seems that CBS was too afraid of angering these liberal snowflakes to run a Super Bowl ad that actually honors our country instead of criticizing it.

It’s sad that these days, ads honoring patriotism and the American flag are being labeled “too controversial” for television. While kneeling during the national anthem and bashing police officers are actions hailed as acts of bravery.

The above ad is a beautiful show of patriotism that would have touched the hearts of the millions. The millions of Americans who still love this great nation. And deserved a chance to see it during the Super Bowl.

The Americans featured in this ad deserve far more respect than Kaepernick and his fellow liberal snowflakes.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
