adam levine super bowl half time

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has come under fire this morning after he refused to submit to liberal demands that he make his Super Bowl halftime performance political on Sunday night.

In the days leading up to the Super Bowl, liberals demanded that Maroon 5 either drop out of the performance or use it to send a race-baiting message. They made this demand because they feel that it is “racist” that no NFL team has signed Colin Kaepernick in the two years since he left the San Francisco 49ers. While liberals have claimed that the only reason Kaepernick was not signed was because of his race-baiting ways, in actuality, he has not been signed because he was a terrible quarterback who led his team to a losing record in 2017, the same year that he began taking a knee during the national anthem to protest racial inequality.

Adam Levine refuses to get political

Though many wanted him to kneel during his performance in solidarity with Kaepernick, Levine defiantly refused to make his halftime show about politics and instead decided to make his show about unity.

“When we accepted the responsibility to perform at the SBHTS, I took out my pen and just wrote,” Levine began on Instagram. “Some of the words that came to me in that moment eventually made their way onto the incredible lanterns that flew high and low tonight. We thank the universe for this historic opportunity to play on the world’s biggest stage. We thank our fans for making our dreams possible. And we thank our critics for always pushing us to do better. One Love.”

Levine went on to include the list of words he felt inspired to write, which were all about love and unity.

Football has long been something that Americans of all different political affiliations can enjoy together. In the days leading up to the Super Bowl, it was disgusting how many liberals were calling for Maroon 5 to get political during their show. Why is it that in the eyes of the left, everything has to be about politics these days? Sports should always be something that the American people can put aside political differences over and enjoy together.

We applaud Maroon 5 for braving the inevitable liberal backlash by making their halftime show something that everyone could enjoy together!
