17 “Bad” Movies That Deserve a Second Chance

Jawbreaker (1999)

Like Crossroads, this movie may have fallen victim to being dismissed because it had a predominantly female cast. This vicious teen comedy was detested by critics. It only has a 7% on Rotten Tomatoes, but a 54% in audience rating. This pre-Mean Girls film takes the idea of mean girls to the next level: they murder someone.

The most popular girls in school play an innocent birthday prank that accidentally kills one of the most beloved members of their clique. Rose McGowan, Judy Greer, and Carol Kane are all amazing in this movie, but the real treat is that Pam Grier plays a no-nonsense detective. This movie is definitely worth a second chance.
