As many celebrities are cowering in fear during the coronavirus pandemic, Sammy Hagar is singing a different tune. The former Van Halen frontman is tired of being a shut-in and would rather “get sick and even die” from coronavirus than skip concerts.

Hagar recognizes how the lockdowns have impacted the economy. The government is killing people’s livelihood in order to stop the spread of the virus.

That really doesn’t make that much sense when you realize that people can’t pay or their bills or even buy food if they can’t work. The government is trading one misery for another.

Sammy Hagar Is Not Waiting For A Coronavirus Vaccine

The 72-year-old rocker doesn’t want to sit on the sidelines as we await a vaccine. We only have so much time to live, so sheltering in place is wasting our most valuable resource.

He’s willing to take a bullet for the team in order to keep on rocking.

Our country has provided us with great opportunities so we should not be sitting on the sidelines and letting time slip away.

Hagar Is Willing To Die From Coronavirus To Perform Concerts Again

“I would rather see everyone go back to work. If some of us have to sacrifice on that, OK,” Hagar told Rolling Stone. “I will die for my children and my grandchildren to have a life anywhere close to the life that I had in this wonderful country. That’s just the way that I feel about it.”

“But there may be a time where we have to sacrifice. I mean, how many people die on the Earth every day? I have no idea,” ‘The Red Rocker’ continued.  “I’m sorry to say it, but we all gotta die, man.”

That’s right the day will come for each of us to leave this world. It’s not of our choosing. Like Sammy Hagar, many of us recognize that fact.

At this point in time, Hagar is still rocking and sharing his music on social media. As you can see in the tweeted video below, he’s not wearing a mask.

Hagar is eager to get back on the road. Concert venue are slowly opening back up. They started out with smaller audiences and even some drive-in concerts, but they are coming back.

The former Van Halen frontman may get his opportunity to take his show back on the road soon.
