Judge Judy Sheindlin is being sued for breach of contract. The hard-hitting television judge believes this is nonsense and has promised to eat the contract on national television if such a contract can be produced.

Rebel Entertainment Partners is claiming they are entitled to 5% of the earnings from when Judge Judy purchased the library of her shows in 2015 and then sold it back to CBS for about $95 million two years later.

Judge Judy And Michael Bloomberg

Sheindlin announced earlier this year that she was ending her 25-year show and would not produce any new episodes.

This announcement coincided with her endorsing failed presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg. That train wreck of a campaign is now over so Sheindlin has time to focus on this lawsuit.

BACKSTORY: Judge Judy Risks Career To Make 2020 Presidential Endorsement

True to form, Judge Judy was heavy-handed in her response to learning about the lawsuit. She attempted to school the plaintiff just as if she were still sitting on the bench.

“I have not seen the complaint and can therefore only comment on what I have read which suggests that I am being sued for “breach of contract,” Sheindlin said in a statement.

Then, the TV judge brought the hammer down and threw down a challenge to the plaintiffs. If they can show a contract that she signed, then she will eat it in rather dramatic fashion for her television audience.

Judge Judy Sheindlin Makes A Big Promise In Response Lawsuit

“If that is the basis of Mr Lawrence’s lawsuit, here is my challenge: If Mr Lawrence can produce a contract, signed by me and Mr Lawrence on the same page, at any time in history from the beginning of time, I will toast that contract, smear it with cream cheese and eat it on national television,” Judge Judy stated.

Rebel accuses CBS of selling the Judge Judy library at a very undervalued amount.

When now-disgraced head of CBS, Les Moonves, realized his mistake he attempted to make amends by buying the episodes back. After all, Judge Judy’s courtroom rulings are legendary and likely will stand the test of time. They will reap financial rewards for many years to come.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. It is comical to think of Judge Judy having to testify in a lawsuit filed against her.

She won’t be able to throw around zingers and say whatever she wants if she is sitting in the hot spot.

Judge Judy’s testimony would be must-see TV, but I think I would rather see her smear cream cheese on a contract and eat that on television instead!
