The WWE is thinking of re-signing a major WWE star, fueling rumors Rey Mysterio is going to sign again with the company for some years to come. In other news, AJ Styles reveals he had a special request for his Boneyard Match with The Undertaker.

WWE Re-Signing Rey Mysterio?

Is Rey Mysterio Re-signing with the WWE?

If the rumors are true, Rey Mysterio is getting a new contract from the WWE this year. According to Dave Meltzer, Rey is not going anywhere anytime soon and he will be re-signing.

Some fans speculated that Rey was written off television during Money in the Bank, when he was seemingly thrown off the roof by Baron Corbin. However, Meltzer now states that this is not the case, and this has also been confirmed on Monday Night Raw.

Why The WWE Should Keep Rey Mysterio For The Considerable Future?

Keeping Rey is probably a priority for the WWE right now, especially since they fired almost half their roster. Rey is star quality and has a really strong younger fanbase, so I would not be surprised if WWE signed him again.

Of course, the question remains if Rey has an interest in signing with the company again. Rey does not need the WWE, because he is more than welcome in a variety of indie promotions.

Before signing with the WWE again, Rey had a really fun stint in Lucha Underground. In fact, I found it to be one of the most riveting storylines of that respective season.

We should hear about Rey’s new contract in the weeks to come, especially if he signs with the company again. Let’s hope he stays, because the company definitely needs star power at the moment to keep fans interested during the pandemic.

AJ Styles’ Request For Boneyard Match

AJ Styles Reveals the big request he had for the boneyard match

We all have fond memories of the Boneyard Match between The Undertaker and AJ Styles. But we do not know everything there is to know about this match!

The match itself did not start with a fully realised concept. In fact, the production team really had to come together to make the vision of this match happen!

One of the things we did not know about the Boneyard Match is that AJ Styles had a special request. In fact, Styles requested that Jeremy Borash and his team put the match together.

Who Is Jeremy Borash?

Who is Jeremy Borash

Jeremy Borash is a commentator who currently works for the WWE. He made his 205 Live debut last week and is quite known among indie wrestling fans.

Borash spent a considerable time in Impact Wrestling. In fact, he worked for the company from 2002 until 2018.

There are claims that AJ Styles knew Borash from Impact and requested that he be involved in the special match.

Triple H Reveals Vince McMahon Had No Idea About The Concept

Vince McMahon had no idea what the boneyard match would be

Interestingly, Triple H recently mentioned that Vince McMahon had no idea how the match would look like. As such, the production team really had to come together to make it as unforgettable as it was.

Bringing in Borash and his team was a touch of brilliance on AJ’s side, especially when the owner of the company had no idea which path to take.
