After her time spent on set for Wicked, it seems like the pop star is making a full switch between roles. In the recent interview on Amy Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang, Ariana Grande revealed her next tour will be her last as a singer.

The Wicked and Wicked: For Good star revealed her 2026 “Eternal Sunshine” tour, and immediately followed with it being “one last hurrah” as she shared her thoughts on what her life might look like in 10 years.

“It’s going to be beautiful and I’m so grateful that — I think that’s why I’m doing it because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah.’ For now,” she told Poehler.

The pop star insisted she has not ruled out getting back on the road in the future, but that she’s enjoying exploring other “creative endeavors”.

Her last tour, “Sweetener World Tour”, was in 2019 and was her last stint of live shows since she began focusing on her acting career. After Wicked: For Good, which will be released later this week, Grande plans on one last tour.

“I don’t want to say any definitive things. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time.”

Grande explained her decision on her career change, saying: “I spent so much time only doing pop music — but I grew up as a girl who loved musical theater and comedy. So I think the thing that will be best for my soul and also my art and for what I’m giving to myself to, is if I’m chasing things that feel very right in the moment,” she said.

“Even if it’s mundane it needs to be something different. I am doing a movie right now because it’s a role that I read the script and I love it and it’s funny and I love the cast and I’m so excited,” Grande added.

Along with her newest movie coming out, Grande was also announced to be part of Ryah Murphy’s cinematic universe in American Horror Story season 13, along with the return of several iconic cast members. She’s additionally set to star in Ben Stiller’s upcoming film, Focker-In-Law.

“Then I’m doing a small string of shows next year because that is something that authentically sounded good to me,” the singer continued on the podcast. “I think following those authentic impulses feels like a really good idea.”

You can watch Wicked now on Prime Video. Wicked: For Good is heading to theaters on November 21.

Grande’s next tour will mark her return to the stage after six years, but will be her last for a long while. The upcoming tour includes 41 dates, which will see her perform across North America from June 6 to August 6, followed by a 10-show residency in London’s The O2.
