American Horror Story season 13 is set to be a big one. Ariana Grande returns to TV after a decade to join the newest installment of the FX anthology series.
After stunning audiences with her work in Wicked, the iconic singer and actress is back on the small screen to join a host of AHS veterans in the series. According to a social media post from Ryan Murphy Productions, which can be seen below, is set to release on Halloween 2026 on FX.
“Surprise, b–h! I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me,” the video stated — a nod to Emma Roberts’ Season 3 character Madison Montgomery — before announcing the show’s return in October 2026.
Grande joins Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Loude, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, and Jessica Lange in the cast.
Amongst the cast, Ariana Grande is the only newcomer; however, she’s worked with Murphy before in Fox’s Scream Queens in 2015.
When AHS returns, it will be three years since the most recent season debuted. The 12th installment of the show features Kim Kardashian and is subtitled Delicate, It premiered in September 2023 and ran in two parts, which concluded in April 2024.
Of course, not much else has been announced about the next season; however, fans are ecstatic about the return of Jessica Lange with the addition of Ariana Grande. Lange’s casting is particularly notable, as the fan-favorite hasn’t appeared in American Horror Story since season 8 in 2018’s Apocalypse.
The reunion with several returning cast members has fans speculating what will come of the next season, with some believing it will be a return of 2013’s Coven story.
