It’s been nearly three years since Queen Elizabeth passed away. She is still missed by millions of people around the world to this day. Now, insiders are saying that prior to her death, the Queen “saw straight through” her grandson Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle.

Sources are speaking out to claim that just weeks before she died in September of 2022 at the age of 96, the Queen told those closest to her that Harry’s romance with Meghan had turned into a “complete catastrophe.”

The Queen ‘Saw Straight Through Meghan’

An insider told Daily Mail that one month before her death, the Queen made some strongly-worded comments about Meghan and Harry’s marriage. This came as she spoke to guests at her Balmoral estate.

“It was out of character for the Queen…but she saw straight through Meghan,” the source alleged. “At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe.”

“By this point we all knew the Queen’s health was in decline and she had months left, she seemed regretful about how things had panned out,” the insider added.

This would have been two years after Meghan and Harry stepped down as senior royals in January of 2020. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised. They remain there to this day with their two young children, Archie and Lilibet.

Harry Is ‘Neither Bright Nor Strong’

In the lead-up to Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018, the Queen reportedly confided about the American actress to her late cousin Lady Elizabeth “Liza” Anson. Days before the wedding, Liza reportedly talked to royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith about the situation.

“When we spoke two weeks before the May 19 wedding, Liza had just heard from the Queen,” Sally later said. “The Number One Lady—I call her Jemima—says the jury is out on whether she likes Meghan.”

“My Jemima is very worried,” Liza allegedly said. “Harry is besotted and weak about women.”

“We hope but don’t quite think she is in love,” Liza added of Meghan. “We think she engineered it all. It’s worrying that so many people are questioning whether Meghan is right for Harry. The problem, bless his heart, is that Harry is neither bright nor strong, and she is both.”

Chaos Before Meghan And Harry’s Wedding

The Queen reportedly began having misgivings about Meghan in early 2018, months before the wedding.

“According to Liza, the Queen was dismayed that Harry had asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to perform the wedding service in St. George’s Chapel without first requesting permission from the Dean of Windsor,” Sally claimed.

“Harry seems to think the Queen can do what she wants, but she can’t,” Liza stated. “On the religious side, it is the Dean of Windsor’s jurisdiction.”

Because of this, Liza went so far as to say that “Harry has blown his relationship with his grandmother.”

“She said she was really upset. I was shocked when the Queen told me this, how she was so saddened,” Liza continued. “I had no idea about the conversation, that he was rude to her for ten minutes. They had tea with her the day before yesterday. She was trying to find out about the wedding dress, and Meghan wouldn’t tell her.”

This led Liza to predict that Meghan would “turn into nothing but trouble.” Indeed, she lamented that Meghan “sees things in a different way.”

Royal Biographer Weighs In

Ingrid Seward, who is known to be one of the most renowned royal biographers, wrote about this in her book “My Mother and I.”

“The Queen never voiced her true opinions except to her close confidants, such as Lady Elizabeth Anson, or Liza as she was known to her friends,” Ingrid wrote.

“She told me that the Queen had made only one remark about Meghan and Harry’s wedding and that was that Meghan’s Givenchy wedding gown was ‘too white,'” the royal biographer added. “In the monarch’s view, it was not appropriate for a divorcee getting remarried in church to look quite so flamboyantly virginal.”

Meghan was previously married to the Hollywood film producer Trevor Engelson between 2011 until they divorced in 2014. According to tradition, divorcees typically wear a color that isn’t white for their next wedding.

After stepping down as senior royals, Meghan and Harry wasted no time in publicly bashing the British royal family. In the years since the Queen died, they have only escalated this behavior. One can’t help but think that the Queen would be rolling in her grave if she could see the way Meghan and Harry are behaving these days.

Queen Elizabeth was a fiercely intelligent woman who spent a record-breaking 70 years on the British throne. In the end, it’s no surprise that she saw straight through Meghan Markle from the very beginning. If only Prince Harry had listened to her!
