Last month, we reported that the former Duck Dynasty star Miss Kay Robertson’s health was rapidly declining after the death of her beloved husband Phil Robertson. He passed away on May 25 at the age of 79 following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Prayers immediately began pouring in for Kay as she continued to mourn her husband. Now, it’s been revealed that these prayers have been answered. Indeed, Kay’s health has turned around in a truly “unbelievable” way!

Kay’s ‘Unbelievable’ Health Turnaround

Last month, Kay’s son Willie announced that his mother was struggling with her health after his father’s death.

“Kay is not in the best of health,” Willie told USA Today at the time. “We’re trying to help her out as much as we can.”

Thankfully, that has all changed in the weeks since then.

“She is doing so much better,” Willie told Fox News of Kay. “It’s unbelievable how she made the turn. I think she was just really kind of depressed after Phil passed away. You know, you’ve been with somebody for 60 years, over 60 years, so just losing her soulmate and she is getting older.”

“Yeah, she was struggling with that a bit, but man, she’s bounced back, and she just went to church,” he continued. “I think she’s going out of town this weekend. She’s traveling more. She’s on our show.”

Willie’s wife Korie chimed in to add, “She was on the ‘Duck Call Room’ podcast, and she said it was a proof of life video.”

During this podcast appearance, Kay reportedly quipped, “I’m tired of being dead!”

“She’s been with us for a few things that we’ve been filming this week,” Korie explained. “So that’s been really special. And, you know, that’s a special part about our show. We feel like it’s just getting to do it with our family and getting to spend that time together.”

“We get to spend a lot of time with Uncle Si, which is super fun and to get to have Kay there,” Korie added. “”But yeah, she is getting older, and that comes with health issues, but she’s doing really well.”

Miss Kay Leans On Her Christian Faith

Willie confirmed that Kay has been leaning on her strong Christian faith as she comes to terms with Phil’s death.

“We were just happy knowing that he’s gone on to be with the Lord, and he was so secure in that.” Willie said. “That’s pretty much all he talked about his whole life was whenever it ended, the faith and hope that he had.”

“Also with Alzheimer’s — the bad part is you have to watch them go down, but I think it does prepare you and I think she may have been even in denial, you know, like that it was actually gonna happen,” he continued. “She just had to deal with it, and she really stuck close to the family. We were all there and all around her, and she was with different family members and just took care of her friends and the relationships she had.”

Thankfully, this support has helped Kay to bounce back in a big way.

“We’re thankful that she’s seeing brighter days now and seeing where she’s at in life, and life without Phil, and Phil was bigger than life,” Willie concluded. “He leaves a big void, for sure, and I know them two were so together in pretty much everything that they did, so I know it was hard for her.”

Kay was noticeably absent from the premiere party for her family’s new reality show Duck Dynasty: The Revival on June 1. However, she made a brief appearance in the actual episode. It’s since been confirmed that Kay will also be appearing in season 2 of the show, which is currently filming.

Phil’s Death

Phil and Kay were married from 1966 until he passed away on May 25, 2025. Hours later, Korie announced his death on social media.

“We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord,” Korie, 51, wrote on Instagram. “He reminded us often of the words of Paul, ‘you do not grieve like those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.'”

“Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus,” she added. “We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again.”

Phil’s death has understandably been difficult for Kay to come to terms with.

“Some of it is she is just depressed,” Willie said of Kay’s health struggles at the time of Phil’s death. “She lost her partner of 60 years.”

We’re so glad to see that through her Christian faith and her family, Kay is bouncing back and getting her health back on track. In the end, Phil would want Kay to keep going, and that’s exactly what she’s doing.

Please join us in saying a prayer for Miss Kay and her health moving forward!
