We previously reported that the Oscar-winning Hollywood star Angelina Jolie was preparing to flee America after her bitter eight year divorce battle with Brad Pitt finally ended. Indeed, she is planning to leave the country after her youngest children, who are twins, turn 18 in July of this year.

We also reported that Jolie was publicly bashing America, saying that she doesn’t “recognize” the country anymore.

Now, Jolie has officially put her Los Angeles, California mansion on the market. This brings her one step closer to her goal of fleeing America.

Jolie Puts LA Mansion On The Market

People Magazine has confirmed that Jolie, 50, has officially listed her California compound, which was formerly owned by the legendary filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, for $29.85 million.

The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate features 11,000 square feet of living space. It located on 2 acres. The property boasts “a Beaux-Arts-style mansion, a guest house studio with a private gated entry, a pool house, a fitness studio, a tea house and a separate garage with a security station.”

Architect B. Cooper Corbett designed the mansion back in 1913. According to the listing, DeMille bought it in 1916. The DeMille family then kept the estate for decades before selling it in the 1980s.

Jolie purchased the mansion for $24.5 million in 2017, one year after she filed for divorce from Pitt. She lived there throughout their bitter court battle, which lasted from 2016 until it was finally finalized in December of 2024. To this day, Jolie and Pitt, 62, are embroiled in a nasty court battle over the vineyard that they owned together in France.

Jolie Feels ‘Stuck’ In America

Jolie has long been open about feeling “stuck” in Los Angeles because of her custody agreement with Pitt. The couple share six children together. The youngest of these children, twins Knox and Vivienne, will turn 18 in July. This will free Jolie to go wherever she so pleases.

“I am here because I have to be here from a divorce,” Jolie admitted to The Hollywood Reporter in August of 2024. “But as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave.”

Jolie doubled down on this back in September of 2025 when she publicly bashed America.

“I love my country, but at this time, I don’t recognize my country,” Jolie told Variety at the time. “I’ve always lived internationally, my family is international, my friends, my life… My worldview is equal, united, and international.”

“Anything anywhere that divides or limits personal expressions and freedoms from anyone, I think, is very dangerous,” she concluded. “These are such serious times that we have to be careful not to say things casually. These are very, very heavy times we are living in together.”

Where Will Jolie Go?

Once she leaves America, it is believed that Jolie plans to split her time between Europe and Cambodia, where she is a citizen and owns a home.

“She can’t get far enough away from the drama… the only way to take a break is to get out,” said Jae Benjamin, an actor and producer who has been friends with Jolie since 2005.

“L.A. is a toxic environment for her,” another insider told Star Magazine earlier this year. “But now the end is in sight, she’s excited and energized.”

Should Jolie successfully sell her Los Angeles mansion, it seems that she won’t be wasting anytime in following through with her plans to flee America. Perhaps once she’s gone, Jolie will become more appreciative of all the amazing things this great country has to offer.
