The 2023 Men and Women’s Royal Rumble matches are just around the corner. The premium event is taking place on Saturday, January 28th, and there’s already some massive buzz on the “favorites” to win both bouts.

Men & Women’s Royal Rumble Favorites

Cody Rhodes is currently out of action due to an injury. However, there is a good chance he’ll make his splashing return at the 2023 Royal Rumble.

In fact, as per BetOnline betting odds, Rhodes is the favorite to win the men’s match at the 2023 Rumble. He’s followed by Sami Zayn at #2, The Rock at #3, Seth Rollins at #4, and Austin Theory at #5.

Cody Rhodes has been on the shelf due to a torn pectoral injury that occurred while training. The last time he competed was in June’s Hell In A Cell pay-per-view (PPV) in an epic match against Seth Rollins.

Could he end up winning the 2023 Royal Rumble and main eventing WrestleMania? This is something many fans would love to see.

Royal Rumble Favorites – The Women’s Match

But, what about the ladies? BetOnline offers some interesting favorites for this match, too.

The Man, Becky Lynch takes the top spot as the “favorite” for the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Rhea Ripley hits the #2 spot, followed by Charlotte Flair at #3, Bayley at #4, and Raquel Rodriguez at #5.

WWE’s first Big Four event of 2023 will take place in San Antonio, Texas at the Alamodome. It’s the official kick-off for the Road To WrestleMania season.

Traditionally, the winner of the Royal Rumble gets a WWE championship match WrestleMania. Often times these winners get to main event the Grandest Stage of Them All, as well.

It’s always an honor for a wrestler when you hit the Sports Illustrated top ten year-end list. So, who ranked #1 for 2022?

That’s why it’s no surprise that he landed at #1 for Sports Illustrated’s top ten superstars for 2022. He reacted to the news, in a major way.

As you can see from the above, Rollins acknowledged his SI milestone, on his Instagram story. He heads a list of incredible talents.

Fellow Shield members Jon Moxley and Roman Reigns hit the #2 and #4 spots, respectively. Meanwhile, the ladies represented, with Bianca Belair at #3, Jamie Hayter at #6, and Masha Slamovich at #10.

Rounding out the top ten list under Seth Rollins, Will Ospreay was at #5 and El Hijo Del Vikingo was at #7. Meanwhile tag team FTR hit the list back-to-back with Dax Harwood at #8 and Cash Wheeler at #9.

Seth Rollins’ WWE History

Rollins signed with the WWE in 2010, and it didn’t take long for him to shoot to the top. He’s literally “done it all” in the company.

He’s been NXT Champion (inaugural), a WWE Champion twice, Universal Champion twice, has held the U.S. and IC titles twice, as well as the WWE Tag Champion six times. He’s also won the Money in the Bank briefcase (2014) and was the 2019 Royal Rumble winner.
