Huge Praise For Dominik Mysterio

There are plenty of children who see their parents wrestle and they want to do the same. They see the lifestyle and also want the attention from fans.

Some, like Charlotte Flair, are major success stories. Then, there is someone like her brother, David Flair, who never found the same success.

Dominik Mysterio had his first official match at SummerSlam 2020. He failed to defeat Seth Rollins, but the performance was impressive.

Since then, he would capture the SmackDown Tag Team Championships for a time with his father, Rey Mysterio. Then, Dominik turned on his family and aligned with The Judgement Day. The group’s leader, Finn Balor, told BT Sport how there is something special about Dominik.

“[It’s beautiful to] see Dominik kind of slip into the role so seamlessly because people forget he kind of debuted about a year before he turned heel and he was learning on the job,” said Balor. “Like he wasn’t really doing that much training.”

“And I mean that with the greatest amount of respect but, you know, he had a couple months training, I think with Lance [Storm], and, you know, little bits here and there with his dad and stuff but not an immense amount of training to be in the deep end on live TV for WWE.”

Dominik Mysterio Quickly Adapted To Heel Role

“He was only kind of adapting to that and then he was thrown this huge curveball where he’s now turning on his dad and playing a completely different character. And the way he’s like slipped into that character, it’s incredible to watch.”

“I think he’s gonna be a huge star for us.”

And, Balor is correct about Dominik. He transitioned into the business with ease and playing a heel seems natural.

Some are comparing Dominik to a heel Eddie Guerrero. Basically, a comment like that, means he should be a big star in a few years.

AEW has been known to sign some big names, even if they have no angle for them. This has seen the AEW roster become a bit too bloated.

Well, it is about to get larger. PWInsider reports that Juice Robison agreed to an AEW contract a few weeks back.

After a few years in NXT, Robison was granted his release in 2015. Then, he would become a bigger star overseas while also joining The Bullet Club.

Over the past two years, he has worked for Impact Wrestling and debuted in AEW against then World Champion, Jon Moxley.

It will be interesting to see how Robison is booked. He could work with The Elite or AEW might have other plans.

The fact that his wife, former AEW Women’s Champion, Toni Storm, is there probably was a factor. They are both talented and it will be interesting to see if AEW pairs them together on TV.
