At one point, Triple H was ready to disband The Judgement Day. Also, WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat is returning to wrestling.

Idea To Disband The Judgment Day

Over the summer, WWE underwent a dramatic change. Vince McMahon retired from WWE, after about 40 years as the boss.

Right away, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were named CO-CEOs. Also, Triple H took charge of creative with Shawn Michaels heading NXT.

Before Vince left over hush money scandals, he created a new stable. Honestly, The Judgement Day have been one of the better groups created by Vince.

While speaking with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes discussed Triple H’s view on the four superstars. He was going to break them up, but changed his mind as the wrestlers grew on him.

“I know back in late July or early August, whenever this whole shift happened, from what I was told Hunter wasn’t really cool with Judgment Day,” stated WrestleVotes. “Not personally, but he just didn’t like the idea.”

“But since he’s grown behind it. And, I think that they’re going to be around for longer than anticipated.”

Edge was the original leader with Damian Priest joining at WrestleMania 38. Rhea Ripley would be added and later Dominik Mystero after turning on his father.

Considering the damage they have caused, the four have made enemies. In particular, The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows), Rey Mysterio Edge and Beth Phoenix.

Lately, they have feuding with The O.C. and just won at Crown Jewel. With Mia Yum back in WWE, she is there to even out the sides.

The Mysterio family has been torn apart by The Judgement Day. They even convinced Dominik to join the dark side.

Edge started the group before turning on him. He sought revenge, but his wife, Beth, was hurt in the process.

If I was Triple H, keep the group around until at least WrestleMania 39. Maybe, even longer.

So, should WWE disband The Judgment Day?

Ricky Steamboat is best known for his stints in WWE and WCW during 1980s and 1990s. The former Intercontinental Champion is also known for his legendary matches with Ric Flair and Randy Savage.

Earlier in the year, there were reports Steamboat was returning inside the squared circle. He was rumored to be part of Flair’s farewell match, but nothing materialized.

In 1994, Steamboat would retire due to injuries. Although, he did return about 15 years later to work mostly programs with Chris Jericho.

Well, Steamboat is back and will be wrestling November 27 from North Carolina’s J.S. Dorton Arena. He teams with FTR against Brock Anderson, Jay Lethal and a mystery partner.

Last time we saw Steamboat in the ring, he was really impressive for his age. He turns 70 years old in February, so we will have to how he much he has left.
