After two nights, WWE WrestleMania 38 is in the history books. So, it is time to see how night two compared to Saturday’s card.

WWE WrestleMania 38 Report Card: Grades For Night Two Are In!

Pat McAfee vs Vince McMahon

Sometimes, I have no clue why WWE does certain things. Pat McAfee just got the crowd excited and then Vince McMahon decides to wrestle.

There was no need for the 76 year old to wrestle. It killed that spark McAfee had with Austin Theory.

Then, when I was ready to move on, the glass broke and out came Steve Austin. Unfortunately, that was the worst looking stunner McMahon ever took. Grade: C-

New Day vs Sheamus & Ridge Holland

On night one of WrestleMania 38, this match got bumped because of time restraints. So, Sheamus and Ridge Holland going after New Day before the bell was a little unplanned humor.

Also, nice touch by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods honoring Big E during the match. Pete Dunne, now Butch, acting unstable made no sense.

And, after the delay in the match, it was over in a few minutes. Bedsides Big E’s title win, the past twelve moths have been horrible for New Day. Grade: C+

Bobby Lashley vs Omos

Honestly, Omos makes even Bobby Lashley look small. While the match will probably not get rave reviews, it went as expected.

Omos is still very green and Lashley at WrestleMania is easily the biggest match of his career. They traded power moves, with Lashley getting the victory.

The win sends Lashley right back into the title picture and Omos’ singles streak is over. Overall, strong booking by WWE for a match that was limited. Grade: B-

WWE Championship & Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns

Another WrestleMania main event and it sees Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns. The match could not be worse than the first encounter.

It was a heavyweight clash that was going to be nothing but massive-blow after massive-blow. The moves hit were not a surprise, but the crowd was into the match.

Reigns is now WWE Champion along with the Universal Champion. Reigns is making a strong case for the most dominant heel in WWE history. Grade: B

Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn

Pairing Johnny Knoxville with Sami Zayn was brilliant. Knoxville is known for his Jackass stunts and Zayn has the paranoia gimmick.

The no disqualification allowed them to make a match that worked. Plenty of great weapons introduced by Knoxville.

You knew the Jackass cast would get involved and the crowd loved it. Hysterical from start to finish with everyone doing a great job. Grade: B+

Pat McAfee vs Austin Theory

What an interesting co-main event of WrestleMania 38. Pat McAfee has two NXT matches under his belt and Austin Theory is still new to WWE.

Even Vince McMahon was involved in the angle and not backstage running the show. McMahon must see Theory as the next John Cena or Roman Reigns.

As we have learned, McAfee is a natural inside the ring and he got the win. The live crowd just loved the match more than me. Grade: B+

Women’s Tag Team Championship: Queen Zelina & Carmella vs Sasha Banks & Naomi vs Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan vs Natalya & Shayna Baszler

WWE tossed in eight female superstars, which resulted in some unique teams. Despite rarely working together, all four teams meshed well.

Lots of big and quick spots that saw several wrestlers involved. Truthfully, this was way more impressive than I figured.

The women were given enough time to hit a ton of spots and tell a great story. After seeing how the match unfolded, any of those teams deserved to win the gold. Grade: B+

Edge vs AJ Styles

For many, myself included, Edge vs AJ Styles looked like match of the weekend. Sometimes, such pressure can make a match turn sour.

There was nothing wrong with the match, but an excited crowd was not there until the end. Maybe, they were simply tired from two hours of awesome action.

What a hard-hitting affair that they will feel for a few weeks. Also, it looks like Edge is getting that heel stable and Damian Priest is the first member. Grade: A-

RAW Tag Team Championship: RK-Bro vs The Street Profits vs Alpha Academy

To begin, I liked how Randy Orton was working with younger talent at WrestleMania. Simply put, this was a fun match and perfect opener.

Cool double RKOs at the end of a match filled with power moves and high flying spots. Gable Steveson even got physical in a bonus segment after the bell. Grade: A-
