IInspiration Turn Down Royal Rumble Spots, Adam Scherr A Part-Timer

The IInspiration have declined an invite from WWE to be part of their Royal Rumble Match. Also, Adam Scherr is looking to get away from being a full time wrestler.

WWE has a bit of a problem this year. They have many issues going on at the moment, such as a lack of talent. 

They have spent close to two years cutting across the board. Office works and talent are not safe with Nick Khan helping Vince McMahon.

Already, we have seen around 100 wrestlers let go. Also, the number of office workers and those backstage is even higher.

It seems only a handful of people are safe from being released. Two superstars that were unlucky include The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay).

Fans might remember them best from their NXT and main roster days. While strictly a comedy duo, they did manage to win the Women Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania.

Now, Fightful Select reports how both were offered a spot in Saturday’s Women’s Royal Rumble Match. They would have joined Mickie James as Impact Wrestling employees appearing on WWE TV.

Plus, there is talk WWE is allowing James to where her Impact Championship to the ring. Therefore, even more Impact Wrestling titles could have aired on WWE programing.

Although, The IInspiration have turned down WWE’s offer. No reason was provided why, but they best friends had no interest in WWE at this moment. 

Both were released in April 2021, shortly after WrestleMania 37.

Adam Scherr A Part-Timer

Adam Scherr, formerly Braun Strowman, spent about eight years with WWE. He joined as a member of the Wyatt Family before branching out onto his own. 

Then, he was pushed quickly towards the top, but won his only major championship because of the padenmic. He went from no match at WrestleMania 36 to beating Goldberg. 

Less than two years later and he was let go. As for the future, Scherr told CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri he does not want to be a full time wrestler.

“I love the art of professional wrestling and eight years with WWE was very time-consuming,” said Scherr. “And, I was very, very blessed with the opportunities that I had.” 

“I got to see the world and all these things. But, it’s been nice having these last six months to take a step back and breathe for a second.”

“Being full-time on TV every week, I’m not going to lie, it’s stressful. It’s nice not having that added stress element every week.”

“Right now, I’m just looking to enjoy my time. Have fun, sell out some buildings, raise some money for some charities, and just go out there and do what I do, and that’s put smiles on people’s faces.”

Scherr did appear at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle at the end of December. There, he joined the stable of EC3.

Strowman has mostly been keeping a low-profile since his WWE exit. Now, we know he is focusing on his mental health and other things instead of working nonstop inside a wrestling ring.
