Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby spoke out this week through his spokesman to defend convicted pedophile R. Kelly, saying that he thinks he “got railroaded” in his sex-trafficking trial.

Bill Cosby Defends R. Kelly

Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt told The New York Post that the former “Cosby Show” star thinks Kelly “was screwed” and that “he wasn’t going to catch a break” during the month-long trial.

“The deck was stacked against Robert,” said Wyatt. “His constitutional rights were grossly abused. I don’t know anywhere but in this country in the United States that a documentary can bring criminal charges against someone.”

“No one fought hard for him,” he continued, adding that Kelly’s attorneys didn’t “humanize him.”

“He also didn’t have the resources and means, he should have asked for support from the court. He would have gotten better representation,” said Wyatt. “This is a guy who made the song ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ when there were rumors about young girls. The song played at every wedding and in every church. He was doing music with Lady Gaga!”

Kelly And Cosby’s Alleged Crimes

R & B singer R. Kelly, 54, was found guilty of racketeering, including acts of bribery and sexual exploitation of a child, along with separate charges of sex trafficking

He faced a total of nine counts — one count of racketeering, with 14 underlying acts that included sexual exploitation of a child, kidnapping, bribery and sex trafficking charges, as well as eight additional counts of violations of the Mann Act, a sex trafficking law.

When he is sentenced next May, Kelly will face 10 years to life in prison.

Cosby was released from prison over the summer after it was found that his conviction could not stand for the sexual assault of Andrea Constand. He had served 2.5 years of a 3-to-10 year sentence at the time of his release.

Many are disturbed that Cosby is a free man, given the fact that dozens of women have accused him of drugging and raping them over the years. Cosby himself has long maintained his innocence.

Cosby’s Spokesman Blasts Victims’ Attorney

Wyatt, Cosby’s spokesman, slammed lawyer Gloria Allred, who represented victims in both Cosby and Kelly’s cases.

“[Cosby] said that Gloria Allred did the same thing [with Kelly] that she did with him,” Wyatt told TMZ. “You parade women out and you stir up the public sentiment to go against him and that’s what they did to R Kelly.”

“This is an assault on successful black men who are doing great things,” he continued. “I see R Kelly having a strong case on appeal, and I think when he gets to the appellate court and when he gets to the highest court in the land, I think we’ll see a conviction overturned.”

It should come as no surprise that an alleged sexual predator like Cosby would defend a convicted pedophile like Kelly. We guess sexual deviants gotta stick together.
