Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby is reportedly working on a new television show months after getting out of prison.

Cosby Returning To TV

Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s spokesman, told Fox News that the 84-year-old actor has been “spending time on the phone working on a number of projects” at his Massachusetts home. Wyatt added that one of these projects is a new TV show.

“Things are happening,” Wyatt continued. “He’s working on a number of projects right now, a number of ideas for a TV show that has him on the phone with producers, working with guys every day. He’s giving his creative ideas and input.”

Wyatt went on to say that Cosby is keeping the details of this show under wraps for the time being.

Cosby Began Working On This Project In Prison

However, the spokesman did reveal that Cosby began talking to producers of the show when he was still in prison at SCI Phoenix in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, where he was serving a sentence for sexual assault. Cosby was freed earlier this summer after serving two and a half years when his conviction was overturned.

“He’s been working on this particular project now for a year and a half,” Wyatt explained. “When he was a resident of SCI Phoenix he would have phone calls with producers.”

The television show isn’t the only thing that Cosby is working on, he is also reportedly working on a book.

“He’s on the phone almost every day for the book as well,” Wyatt said. “He’s working. That’s why people don’t see him as much. When he was at SCI Phoenix it wasn’t our time so phone calls would be probably two, three times a week for that kind of stuff.”

“Now he has the time,” he continued. “He can speak freely when he wants to. That’s his primary focus since he’s gotten out – to come out and be able to have projects and to work with people who want to work with him.”

Cosby Wants To Return To Standup Comedy

In July, it was revealed that Cosby wanted to make his return to the standup comedy scene, and that he had spent his first night out of prison doing “comedy routines.”

“He wants to get back on stage sooner or later,” Wyatt said at the time.

Cosby was seen as “America’s dad” for decades before dozens of women came forward to accuse him of drugging and sexually assaulting them.

His alleged victims were devastated to see that he is now a free man. They will undoubtedly be even more upset to see that he is potentially making a return to television.

It’s sad to see that even in modern times, those with fame and fortune are often above the law.
