Bray Wyatt To AEW News, Triple H Speaks About In-Ring WWE Return

In the latest round of AEW news, they seem to be talking with Bray Wyatt about joining the promotion. Also, Triple H on returning inside a WWE ring.

Bray Wyatt To AEW News

Fans are starting to see a change in the pro wrestling landscape. AEW is quickly becoming a real threat to WWE with each passing month.

As WWE releases more superstars, AEW has no problem signing and pushing them the right way.

Recently, we have seen it happen quite a bit with Malakai Black and Andrade. Already, they are being better presented than on WWE’s main roster.

There are still plenty of former WWE wrestlers looking to sign with a new promotion. One the biggest names needing a new home is Bray Wyatt.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed his status. While not official, he believes Wyatt is headed to AEW.

“We’re gonna see a lot of different people coming up including Bray Wyatt,” said Meltzer. “It’s not 100 percent.”

“His non-compete is not up. It’s most likely happening.”

“It’s at the same stage when I said Aleister Black, long before it happened. The same stage.”

“I don’t think there’s pen to paper or anything like that. It’s an expectation that’s pretty strong, put it that way.”

Wyatt was shockingly let go by WWE on July 31. Unlike most of the releases the past 18 months, this one did not come in a large group.

Apparently, there were some problems between Wyatt and Vince McMahon. We are not sure if that is what led to his sudden departure.

Wyatt spent 12 years in WWE, with the most success coming in the second half. He was leader of the Wyatt Family and most recently worked as The Fiend.

But, wherever he ends up, it will need to be under a new name. He will not be able to compete for 90 days due to a clause in WWE contracts.

Therefore, October 31, Halloween, is when Wyatt can officially appear on TV for another company.

Triple H joined WWE in 1995 and has never left. Over the years, after marrying into the McMahon family, he has taken on more backstage responsibilities.

In particular, Triple H is in charge of NXT and recruiting new talent. Because of all his job titles, he has not been an active competitor for years.

In fact, he has not had an official WWE match since June 2019. That took place in Japan and saw Triple H team with Shinsuka Nakamura to defeat Samoa Joe & Robert Roode.

As for his future inside the ring, Triple H told The Herd he needs the right opponent.

“If people want it, if it’s the right thing, it has got to be intriguing,” said Triple H. “At this point, with as busy as everybody is in WWE from the business side, for me to get ready for WrestleMania, at my age, it’s not something to enter into casually.”

Triple H turned 52 this summer and he does not want to end up like many of his peers. At a certain point, Triple H knows he needs others to represent WWE.

He did work earlier in year against Randy Orton on RAW from the ThunderDome. He was a late replacement for for Drew McIntyre, who had recently tested positive for COVID.

They brawled around the ThunderDome before The Fiend got involved. In the end, the match was declared a no contest.

The lineage of pro wrestling dates back centuries, tying the world together through the art of storytelling. After nearly 30 years of watching, now Joe has the chance to report the news about men and women competing inside a 20-foot by 20-foot ring.
