Vince McMahon WrestleMania Match

The reason why WWE Chairman Vince McMahon nixed a match at WrestleMania has finally been revealed. In other news, Marty Scurll’s ROH status continues to be complicated.

Vince McMahon WrestleMania 34 Match Nixed

Vince McMahon WrestleMania Match Nixed, Marty Scurll's ROH Status

Vince McMahon was supposed to face Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn alongside his son Shane at WrestleMania 34. However, this Vince McMahon match was nixed by the Chairman himself.

Kevin Owens recently revealed why Vince did not want to go ahead with the match.

“Yeah, that was really cool. I wish it would have led to more, honestly. But who wouldn’t feel that way? I think it could have, and I think it almost did. I really think, at one point, there was a chance that it was going to be me and Sami Zayn against Shane and Vince at WrestleMania – which would have been incredible – but Vince, I remember one of the things he had told me was, ‘I can’t run WrestleMania and focus on a match at the same time.’

So there you have it. The Chairman says he cannot run the show while focussing on a match.

But hasn’t he done this before?

Unlikely We Will See Vince In The Ring Again

No More Vince McMahon matches

At this point in time, it is unlikely that the WWE Chairman will have another match. After all, the Chairman is now in his mid-seventies.

Fortunately, there are plenty of crazy Vince McMahon matches to look back on. So, even though we don’t have any more coming, the past ones are more than enough!

Marty Scurll’s ROH Status

Marty Scurll's ROH Status

Marty Scurll’s ROH status has been a point of contention lately. It all started with some accusations of the #SpeakingOut movement.

Because of the allegations, Marty was promptly removed from any active storylines and bookings. Since then, it has been very quiet surrounding the wrestling star.

It appears that an internal investigation is currently going on in Sinclair Broadcasting. During the time of the investigation, Scurll will not return to the ring.

The outcome of the investigation could have dire consequences for Scurll too if the accusations are true. Countless wrestlers have been released from different promotions for similar accusations.

Final Battle Appearance Unclear

Since the investigations is still ongoing, and little is known about its progress, it is unclear if Scurll will be on Final Battle. The event is set to take place on December 18th.

It is believed Final Battle was taped yesterday. If this is accurate, then it means that Scurll will not be on the event at all.

In addition to being pulled off televised matches, Scurll also saw his name removed from the ROH booking team. Whether or not his name will be restored depends on the outcome of the investigation.

It seems that ROH is a lot more thorough than the WWE. Investigations within WWE took a matter of days, while ROH has been spending a lot of time on proving or disproving the allegations against talent.

If Marty does return, it means that the allegations were proven to be unfounded.
