Lana Liv Morgan Lesbian

Lana and Live Morgan had a short-lived lesbian angle to concluded 2019 and it might be returning. Also, WWE’s logic for putting NXT gold on Leon Ruff.

Lana & Liv Morgan Lesbian Angle Returning?

This time last year, WWE looked very different. Paul Heyman was still the Executive Director of RAW and elevating an array of talent.

That brings us back to the final RAW of 2019, when Lana and Bobby Lashley were to wed. The ceremony featured plenty of objections and chaos.

Of course, the big takeaway was Liv Morgan returning to TV. She proclaimed her love for Lana and then the wedding ceremony quickly got out of control.

Morgan’s return was done solely for the shock factor. It left people buzzing and wondering what was next.

Basically, Rusev (now Miro in AEW) would battle Lashley and Lana for a few weeks. Meanwhile, Morgan played a smaller role.

In the end, the angle was seemingly dropped with no explanation. Now, WWE could be bringing back the lesbian storyline.

When talking to Sportskeeda, Lana said WWE told her there are plans to start the angle again.

“I can see the story picking up any time, any day,” said Lana. “You know? Like I think it’s a very, very compelling story and I would love to revisit it.”

“So, that’s what I was told. That we’re going to revisit it at some point. So I’m looking forward to revisiting it at some point.”

Current Status Of Those Involved

A lot happened over the past 50 weeks. Rusev was let go, Lahley split from Lana and is now part of the Hurt Business, Morgan reformed the Riott Squad and Lana turned face.

Despite Lana and Morgan being on separate brands, WWE is known to stretch their rules.

Lana has been pushed the past two months as a major face. Currently, she is teaming with Asuka as they look to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

As for Morgan, she was lost after the lesbian angle and is finally finding her place after teaming with Ruby Riott again. Also, her WWE Network special, ‘Liv Forever,’ got people talking as it highlighted many broken WWE promises.

Leon Ruff’s Title Reign

Leon Ruff

Few knew who Leon Ruff was until he the won the NXT North American Championship from Johnny Gargano. The was considered a fluke.

He held the title for about a month before losing it back to Gargano at NXT Takeover WarGames. The match also involved Damian Priest.

WWE booked Ruff’s title win as pure luck. In the Wrestling Observer Forum, Dave Meltzer noted how creative thought putting the title on Ruff would be funny.

NXT is not known for their quick turnaround with champions. They want the yellow and black brand titles to have meaning behind them.

The one positive to come out of everything is Ruff is no longer enhancement talent. Now, he is a regular member of the NXT roster every Wednesday.
