jinder mahal major push

Believe it or not, Jinder Mahal may be getting a major push in 2021. In other interesting news, WWE may have given writers a chance to suggest more deserving Superstars to get a new push.

Jinder Mahal Getting Major Push

In what may be something you never thought you’d read, it looks like Jinder Mahal will be getting a major push.

Mahal, a former champion, has been out most of 2020 due to injury. He did return very briefly, only to be shelved again.

But, assuming he’s finally shaken the latest injury bug, word is 2021 will be a huge year for him.

So, what exactly does WWE have in mind for the former WWE Champion? Could he once again hold a major title?

Not exactly, but gold could be in his future.

You may recall, WWE has been making a concerted effort to tap into otherwise untapped markets. It was one reason why Jinder Mahal first one the WWE Championship when he did.

WWE saw him as a viable champion, and the company wanted to help make the product resonate more with a massive customer base.

Looking forward at 2021, India is getting attention once again.

According to a report in Sportskeeda, NXT India will be a thing and it is set to launch later in January of 2021.

This is where Jinder Mahal factors into things. The expectation is that Majal will be a major face in the fresh offshoot of NXT.

The thought is that, when WWE goes to crown the first NXT India champion, Jinder Mahal will be in the mix. Specifically, the expectation is that he will at least be a finalist.

Or, he may actually be the first-ever NXT India champion.

There’s a lot to take in here.

One, like him or not it will be good to get Jinder back.

Two, like him or not, WWE sees something in him, and they have plans for him.

Those plans include Jinder Mahal getting a major push, though “major” can be somewhat subjective here.

Writers Suggest More Deserving Superstars

In some other push-related chatter, it seems WWE may have asked it’s writers to suggest some more deserving Superstars.

As in, WWE asked it’s writers who those writers felt deserved a chance at a bigger push of their own.

It is an interesting tidbit, if it is in fact fairly accurate. Some on the list have had some success.

Some, specifically Carmella, have title shots in the near future…

If you look back at any time in wrestling history, there is virtually always a handful of Superstars who made their mark. Some became mega-stars, and some didn’t quite reach such a status.

Part of that difference comes down to whether the creative team knows how to use a Superstar. Also involved is if the creative team chooses to push that Superstar.

So, if WWE has indeed given their writers the green light to identify such under-utilized and deserving Superstars, it will be interesting to watch.

Who might be getting identified? Will WWE actually act on those recommendations?

Could this move result in fans seeing such strong workers, ce, rewarded with a top end singles push?

This could make 2021 a very interesting, and possibly exciting, year to watch.
