The Undertaker Reveals Character He Will Use For Future Appearances

The Undertaker has not officially retired from the WWE yet. Obviously, this means we could see him in another television appearance in the future.

During a recent interview, The Undertaker revealed, The Undertaker revealed which character he will use for future television appearances. Interestingly enough, it won’t be the Deadman.

Big Evil: The Undertaker’s Future Character?

During his appearance on IGN’s YouTube Channel, The Undertaker admits that Big Evil is the character he is going with now. He even says that he brought a version of him back during the now famed Boneyard Match.

And The Undertaker has quite a unique view on his future character:

“We kinda brought back a version of Big Evil for AJ Styles and the Boneyard. I think that iteration of the character kinda brought all the 30 years together. It’s the American Bad Ass, Big Evil all growing up into one. So, that’s kinda where we’re at and I think that’s where we’ll move forward when I do make appearances on TV.”

So there you have it. If we will see Taker on television again, it will be as Big Evil (or at least a version of him).

Considering the success of the Boneyard Match, going forward with this character is not a bad idea. It also allows Taker to get a little creative where matches are concerned.

Since The Undertaker has undergone numerous surgeries, he cannot take too many bumps anymore. However, this doesn’t mean fans are sick of seeing him, quite the opposite!

Taker could do many specials in the future. The Boneyard Match was just a prime example of the possibilities.

Fans Want A Match With Sting

If fans have anything to say about it, Taker will not enjoy his semi-retirement for long. In fact, numerous fans are still calling for a match between The Undertaker and Sting.

A match between The Undertaker and Sting was teased in the past, but it never happened. Taker even addressed the match request during his YouTube appearance. 

“Yeah, I get that a lot. Sting stayed down in WCW for so long and then he went somewhere else and that window kind of closed,” said Taker. “I know he kinda showed up [in WWE] at the end… The way people see that, it looks much better on paper than it actually would have been. It’s one of those matches that people will talk about forever.”

Sting and Taker were the icons of their respective brands. Evidently, this makes it easy to explain why fans want this match that bad.

On the flipside, I think we are past the point of this match now. You have to remember that both wrestlers are getting older. 

While there is nothing wrong with getting older, a wrestler’s body takes a whole lot of punishment. And while they could outwork me in the gym to this day, a highly anticipated match like that is a whole different ball game. 

But who knows? Maybe Sting and The Undertaker can work together on another project in the future?
